If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Good point

we'll he'll use the redshirt year so he'll have 4...but you know it had to be in his thought process from the start "Hey, if I have a good year at LU I can always transfer" so to me a Prep year would have made far more sense

Didn't make a run until his Sophomore year right? Seth a little less patient.

The only thing that could make this whole situation a little better is if he goes to Carolina.

Manson-I hope this news didn't shock you after I brought it out in the open on our board and you questioned my truthfulness...oops!
No, it's all good. Congrats to you. When you said it, it was when Brolin was out. Some people at LU were spreading rumors that was Seth. I thought you were onto the same thing.

I just talked to Seth. He can't say any of the schools he is thinking about going to right now. If he goes to VT he can't wear 30

No, that wouldn't make it better.

If he goes to UNC, I will move to Chapel Hill and run for City Council just so I can dramatically raise the property taxes on Roy Williams' house.

A very good coach & basketball mind said a simple thing to me today when we talked about this defection...

That person said.. Seth didn't even make First Team this year [& while that's perhaps debatable to many of you guys (at least at one point)]- take a good look at the "big" conferences- how many individual freshmen in those leagues, had they played in the Big South, would make not only First Team but potentially dominate our league??

It's funny that this 18 year old kid & all of his family "advisors" think that he's being held back in the Big South- Big bro only plays in the SoCon & it's not likely that that fact is holding Stephen back from any pro looks- it's also not like Seth went to Oak Hill in high school to seek out the best comp, but NOW he's ready to see if he can hack it elsewhere against better competition?? Instead of prep school, Seth appears to have used Liberty as a prep school experience to prepare him for "bigger & better" things... Where were his cajones coming out of HS?? Oh that's right.. I'm not sure he really has shown any real courage- he's always looked like a spoiled & selfish kid to me.. What happened to all those media darling quotes about choosing his own path to be different than the shadows of dear old dad & big bro?? Sounds like he has the PR sides of things down- now if he only finds a pro game in that 6'3" frame- he better learn how to pass the ball & dribble much better because at his current height the league is a huge step for him right now & he's coming up short..

Rather ignore him, and his type!
+1.

We really, REALLY need an ignore function on this board.

I haven't spent my time reading all these post - there are a bunch. But here is how i see it.

Curry is an idiot. No good team is going to take him - he's a quitter and can't keep his commitments. He will go somewhere and suck. If it wasn't for his name - he would have played half the time and got half the points this year. He shoots to much, plays for himself and doesn't make his teammates better. He cried like a baby last night because Kyle didn't pass him the ball when we was open (it was the play on the break, when Kyle had a great pass to Baker for the layup). He is a selfish player and that is proven today. I know we were told not to bash him, but hey, it's free speech and this is a message board. Now I hope we replace him with a big man.

{sorry for the double post; what's the Baptist form of pennance for that, anyway?}

Are "enemy" posters eligible for post of the year? This one should be in the running, anyway.

Rooster Cogburn wrote:I was starting to feel better and starting to move on. I was even starting to understand what seems like an empty cop out statement from Seth. But now I just feel sick for Coach. He works so hard on recruiting, and now it feels like he just got slapped in the face. He seems to work so hard individually with the guys and truly connect with each guy. Now to have one who agrees to come in and says all the right things say you aren't good enough, stinks.

So Coach, keep your chin up. You are the man and you will bring this team back. Jesse is the future now! And the future is STILL bright.
Just refreshed my memory by looking at Ant's history here. We've had some great players here that didn't have the hype as freshmen. I have no doubt that we'll survive this and I don't think that it is the death knell that some suggest. I also feel bad for Coach McKay, but I'm sure that he'll move past this pretty quickly, as well. In regards to Seth's concern about getting too much defense, he must not have spoken to his brother, as Steph seems to get doubled more than his fair share. I don't think it is a sure bet that Seth will produce the assists that his brother has when the defense has locked down. I guess he'll be the one to answer that one... in two years!

I have a great memory HMO!!

Besides.. I took a ton of "hater" comments when I said similar things in the All- Big South thread.. funny how quickly the Kool-Aid turns... Aside from that, he really has shown that LU prob didn't mean as much as you guys thought & I have your guys backs on that issue.. I don't wish him any ill will, but the clear fact that he pretty much gave up on your team before the last game was even done is tell tale that I wouldn't want him around any team I was associated with- regardless of how sweet or quick his jump shot may be.. You simply have to let cancers go... His attitude will inhibit his abilities in the future I feel quite sure..
