A very good coach & basketball mind said a simple thing to me today when we talked about this defection...
That person said.. Seth didn't even make First Team this year [& while that's perhaps debatable to many of you guys (at least at one point)]- take a good look at the "big" conferences- how many individual freshmen in those leagues, had they played in the Big South, would make not only First Team but potentially dominate our league??
It's funny that this 18 year old kid & all of his family "advisors" think that he's being held back in the Big South- Big bro only plays in the SoCon & it's not likely that that fact is holding Stephen back from any pro looks- it's also not like Seth went to Oak Hill in high school to seek out the best comp, but NOW he's ready to see if he can hack it elsewhere against better competition?? Instead of prep school, Seth appears to have used Liberty as a prep school experience to prepare him for "bigger & better" things... Where were his cajones coming out of HS?? Oh that's right.. I'm not sure he really has shown any real courage- he's always looked like a spoiled & selfish kid to me.. What happened to all those media darling quotes about choosing his own path to be different than the shadows of dear old dad & big bro?? Sounds like he has the PR sides of things down- now if he only finds a pro game in that 6'3" frame- he better learn how to pass the ball & dribble much better because at his current height the league is a huge step for him right now & he's coming up short..
