This is from espn. You may have to do a little looking to find the game highlight, but it's worth it...unless you think he was a d-bag for using his glove and not his hand (looking in your direction, Lefty).
I never said anything about Alexei.... I was talking about David Wright's "Barehanded" Catch. Alexei's play was the ONLY way he could have gotten an out, David Wright was being an idiot...

Let's all be honest...David could have used his glove if he wanted to...still an unreal play and doesnt take away from the difficulty of making that play....but if using your bare hand is what impresses you then I'm not sure how Ozzie's doesnt blow it out the water, the only downfall with that play is it took place at a time when TV wasnt near what it is today and there really isnt very good footage of the play itself

I know exactly what you are talking about. And trust me, I know WAY too much about DW's personal life- he is, in fact, an idiot. I still don't think he makes that play without his glove and I'm not sure making it with his bare hand makes him a d-bag. That's what I was referring to in my post.

I mentioned the best play I saw in person earlier, but I clearly forgot my two all-time favorite plays in MLB history, which I didn't see in person, but I did see on TV:

-Edgar Renteria hitting a single up the middle in the 11th inning against Cleveland's Charles Nagy in the 7th game of the 1997 World Series, scoring Craig Counsell and giving the Marlins a 3-2 win and the World Series title.

-Josh Beckett tagging out Jorge Posada to cap off a 2-0 Marlins shutout over the Yankees in Game 6 of the 2003 World Series, giving the Marlins another World Series title.

Oh, well, yes, his personality and the fact that he is a Met are contributing factors to him being a D-Bag... Say if Aramis Ramirez made the same play... he would not be a D-bag. He would just be a show off....

Nah, not the Tides. He was only there for a week or so.

I could be very Sly-like here with this one. I have a couple of connections to him (he's from Chesapeake), but as for the personal life thing, let's just say he dated my assistant coach for a year and a half before she started having questions going unanswered. I'll leave it at that.

It's too bad, too. Our track team was in line for some pretty sweet Nike gear before it all went south.
