Please do not start your fire sale until after the Cardinals leave town on the 31st. Come to think of it, that is the trade deadline, so maybe wait until the 30th at the earliest.

By the way, I can't believe the Redskins were able to manage 15 points against the Falcons today in front of 17 fans...wait...nevermind.

Stick a fork in the Braves, they're done. Losing series to bottom dwellers is not the way to get back in the swing of things. I thought they might make a push, only down 6 games but the pitching is dry.

JoJo Reyes proved today why he is AAAA pitcher.

I agree, and go Braves! We gotta stick by them in the dark days. They will rebuild.

You guys have no concept of the DARK DAYS. Other than a couple anomaly years...from the time TBS got on the air as WTTC 17, they were pathetic up to the 90's. THOSE, my friends, were indeed the dark days.

Try being a braves fan then talk about us not knowing the concept of the dark days.

How do you know he's not a Braves fan? That may be the most idiotic thing you've said in a while. He said this is nowhere near the dark ages that the pre-90s years were.

   i really don't care what you think. that is my opinion. and the Braves are experiencing the Dark day at this point and i really didn't follow them until the early 90's and yes i know they were bad prior to the 90's but i am talking about the here and now NOT the past.

This is nowhere near a "dark" period. It sucks to fans who are spoiled and didn't give a crap about their team unless they made the NLCS (I'm looking at you Atlanta) but this is nothing. One good off season and they're back in contention. This is nothing like the team that consistently finished worst in the league. Learn some history of your favorite team then tell me it's a dark age. Don't prove the stereotype of all Braves fans in that you just started following them in the 90s and never learned anything about where they came from.

Are you kidding? They're 6.5 games out. They were down farther than that in '91 when they went to the World Series. Trust those who were aware of the Braves' existence well before the bandwagon came rolling along in the early 90's. Dark days are when you're one of the worst teams in the league for the better part of a decade. This ain't that.

how would you know if i gave a crap about the braves even if they didn't make the NLCS? that is the dumbest statement that you have made. that statement proves that you know of nothing of my loyalty of this team. I was ticked when they didn't do well but i never stopped being a fan and never will. and if memory serves me correct and i believe it does they haven't been to the post season since 2005. So they have struggled over the past few years up to this point. And i know a little more history about the braves than you think i do.

its not going to happen this season. we don't have the pitching and our offense is very inconsistent outside of Chipper jones, brian mccann and mark texeria (SP) we are not consistent enough this season to even make a push. Hopefully they will prove me wrong this year but i don't see it happening. and again that is my opinion of this team. and plus this has been going on for the past few years.

Most of you guys weren't even born before 82...when they went to the playoffs with Torre at the helm. It was VERY bad before then...and not much better after when the only high spot might have been that July 4 game when RP Rick Camp hit a game tying HR in extra innings.

Stop taking offense to everything and read. I was speaking of stereotypical Atlanta fans. The NLDS games were half-empty for three years in a row because it was normal and Atlanta fans didn't care.

This is not a "dark day." In the grand scheme of things to most MLB fans, this is a cloudy day. Not many teams can go to the playoffs every single year. It's because Atlanta fans are spoiled that they think this is a "dark day." I'm an Atlanta fan, but I realize things aren't going to be great every year. If you've kept up with the organization at all you knew this was coming. The organization drafted and signed a bunch of young Latin players because they thought they could get them cheaper than the American born players. Their farm system is nowhere near as good as it used to be. No farm system means no Major League success.

i will take offense to your dumb statement about my loyalty to this team when you question it in that tone towards me. And still will keep up with the organization even if they do struggle for years to come and when they do well to. and yes i knew the streak was going to end sooner or later. Good for you that u are an atlanta fan. For 13 years i lived in the ATL and grew up there before moving to L-burg and followed this team from then to now. And about your NLDS statement, you can't speak for every atlanta fan who didn't care being that the stadium was empty for those games. I think by that statement you are saying that all ATL fans didn't care. I am not one of those fans. if you knew me a lot better which you don't, you would know that.

In general, Atlanta fans didn't care, or else the stadium would've been a sellout like every other MLB stadium in the playoffs. If you take offense to every sweeping generalization of every team you like then you're in for years of whining and defending yourself.

And again i am not one of those types of fans. Yes the games should have been a sellout and it does show that certain atlanta fans don't care but not this one and there are a lot of other ATL fans who are NOT that way either. So i would not be the only one to whine and defend myself

What? No  ? If sports were about being realistic, Kansas City wouldn't even field a team.

I didn't say you were one of those fans. Can you not read? I was talking about fans IN GENERAL. That means it's a GENERALIZATION. That does not mean I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU.
