IF Dungheap can name names and provide evidence, i.e. emails, memo's or recorded phone conversations, then this will be huge!! If not on the federal level, imagine what his book will bring in!! (Where's is Jose' Canseco's publisher!) Or if is a situation where the NBA reminded teh officials that people pay to see stars play, then you have nothing. IMHO, it is a tad too early to tell.
But they get those great perks like being able to sell their first class air tix and travel in coach instead...
..that's an easy 5K more a year.

no they dont. the government put a stop to that because the refs weren't reporting it as income like they were supposed to. now the refs aren't legally allowed to sell their tickets.
The NBA was much more exciting this year but the playoffs have left a sour taste in my mouth. I just can't stand the disparity in officiating between home and away games. That isn't right.

I think the reason the popularity of the NBA is fading is much more than just the refs. It's the lack of the team concept, (one on one every time down the court gets real old). Also, it might just be me, but a large portion of the players look and act like thugs. Sorry, but who wants to watch that?

yep, except the cleveland cavaliers are still living in that time period. thank God they didnt go any further than they did because they are HORRIBLE for the nba.

they are they epitome of the type of offense that drove people away from the nba in the first place: one star who plays one-on-one for all 48 minutes. seriosuly, watch a game. virtually every single play is a clear out for him to take his opponent off the dribble. only reason that offense is even slightly effective is because LeBron is a good passer. however, their offense is by far one of the most fundamentally attrocious offenses in the nba today. you might as well just throw in an And1 dvd or vhs and watch that instead of a cavaliers game.
