Who cares about family...GO HOKIES
(and yes...I was a homer and picked them to win :koolaid however, from an objective standpoint, Carolina).

BC leads the turtles 62-57 with 1:24 left.

Who cares? I think the ACC gets way, way too much coverage and credit. I have been watching the Big East Tournament for years. That is one of the best and most fun to watch IMO. I know most on here are ACC fans or live in the ACC areas but I think the Duke/Carolina thing gets way overblown by ESPN. I love watching the PAC 10 late night too with my man Marques Johnson doing the color. I have worked from home the past couple of days and got to see the early rounds of the Big East and every game was entertaining. Having Raftery, Bilas and McDonough call the games made it really fun too. Bilas was nominated for a studio analyst Emmy and Sean and Bill brought it up every 10 minutes. It was funny.

As weak as the ACC is this year, the rest of America really doesn't care near as much as in years past. The Big XII Tourney is far more interesting to me especially this year.

I'm watching Ritchie's old team right now on CSTV. I love this sports package. I can't keep up with all the games. I need to go to bed.

Did you happen to hear Raftery's call on that nasty Joe Alexander dunk during the WVU-Uconn game today??? It was hilarious. Bill Raftery is an amazing commentator.

Raftery, Bilas, and McDonough have really been enjoyable to listen to...I wish they would do all the big east tourney games instead of having len elmore and his partner (whose name I can't remember at the moment) do the night games.

gotta love all the ACC haters! go make a big east or big 12 thread. yeah the ACC is down, but many on this board are ACC fans and not big east or big 12 fans anyway. it will always get more coverage than the other conferences so get used to it.

I know i have been an ACC hater in the past (because I think that the football is over played), but I'm not sure if the ACC in basketball is overplayed by espn...Duke/UNC...well, thats another story...there are plenty of rivalries just a big as that one, but the two schools have constantly been in the top 10, so it makes it a draw for espn....

the ACC tourney isn't even on espn....unless it is in most areas except for here...but i don't think that is the case....so its hard to say that ACC basketball is over hyped.....just my opinion.....

and ps...GO FLORIDA STATE!!!!!!!!!! :D

The ACC is plain awful. That said so is the rest of college basketball when compared to 10-12 years ago. I watched the Duke-Carolina game on ESPN classic last week. It was from 1995 or 1996 (the one where Jeff Capel hits the half court shot) and I couldn't believe how much better the players were. The ACC had Stackhouse, Rasheed Wallace, Joe Smith, and Tim Duncan, just to name a few.

This year's Duke and UNC team's wouldn't finish in the top half of the ACC 10 years ago.

I love watching the ACC games but I just can't get into it this year. It's really sad. The Big East Merger and expansion of the ACC are partly to blame.

You can blame that on Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, & co who skipped college, and now these guys who only play one year.

Yes. That is when the trend started but sadly NBA basketball isn't as good either. Basketball today is all about showmanship and less about team work. Many of the fundamentals are lost. I don't think players are less talented. I just think the game is played like it is on the playgrounds and AAU gyms.

Also, this is the first year that the ACC has been really watered down. There are only two or three good teams.

That is why I am beginning to like what the media likes to call low and mid major basketball more and more every year. The majority of those players and teams are there because of their love for the game and some their love for the school.

Does this put VT in? And possibly knock The U out? It'll be an interesting Sunday.

miami definitly still has a chance, but losing didn't help their cause any. if VT puts up a good fight against the holes they should get some consideration

Miami is already in, VT should be, but probably need at least a good showing if not a W tomorrow.
