state's first half play was definitely not anything i was expecting to see. grant is a monster. if state had shot and played in the 2nd half the same as they did in the 1st, that game would have been a nail biter.

Of course it warrants just a quick highlight on ESPN. Now if this had happened in Philadelphia we would have heard stories about snowballs, batteries and Santa Claus. But if it happens at Duke, oh well, they were just showing their displeasure for the performance. Carry on.
it was a contest.. they were trying to throw them into recycle bins on the floor. They weren't just throwing them like the commentators made it seem.

I don't know how Duke has won so many games. This is the least talented bunch they have had in a number of years. Prediction: Carolina blows them out on Wednesday.

you can't be serious!!!
I have never been so serious in all my life.

Hickson, Costner, Grant and McCauley, are not as good as Hansborough but NC State has more depth in the post. Hansborough is the only Tarheel in the post over 6 foot 7. Not that they need more depth in that position because they are loaded with talented wing players. Speaking purely about post players, State's tandem is the most talented in the ACC and I am not the only person who thinks that. I have to wonder if you have watched any ACC games this year. The ACC stinks!!! (with the exception for UNC and Duke) It is bunch mediocre teams. Duke is not good because of their front line, they are good because they are well coached and play as a team. I am not saying NC State is great but they should be better than what their record is showing. Duke is well coached but lacks athleticism. Singler is okay, but not much of post player and he is the only player on the team taller than 6'6 that sees significant playing time. NC State, had they had a good pt. guard, could have scored or been fouled every time down the floor had they taken Duke inside. NC State had 11 assists and 18 turnovers, their problem is they have freshmen and sophmore trying to play pt. guard.

What looks bad to the casual viewer, has made the ACC the top rated conference in the RPI, IIRC.

As far as State....I think they have the POTENTIAL to have a great frontcourt.

Don't forget about the guy is who 5th on the team in scoring... Deon Thompson.. Right 10 ppg and 6rpg... He is 6-8 and has started every game...N.C.st could be great if they had a coach...

The ACC is not bad compared to other conferences. College basketball is seriously watered down this year. Its been a while since the ACC only had 2 teams in the top 25. I really hate how the ACC has expanded, it hurts the rivalries. I think its ridiculous to have more than 10 teams in a conference and the Big East is a joke (16 teams). It should be two conferences.

The fact that college basketball is watered down has been really evident by the televised games this year. Its really hard to find a conference game with pairing two top 25 teams.

I don't know, it just seems more noticeable this year. It will make for a great March Madness though.
