I used a commodore 64 monitor with my Sega Genesis...good times...good times...up many nights trying to beat Sonic 2...

I only go as far back as the Apple IIc. However, I have been sitting in front of a computer for hours on end since the day I got it. Seriously.



I did, however, have an RGB monitor and a color dot matrix printer. I also had a joystick. Not bad for a third grader.

not sure how I feel about the seats...kind of too random for me...but my goodness its a huge step up from the old ucf arena which makes the Vines Center look like its state of art

haha, ya, me and my friends used to play basketball tourneys there. The only gym i've ever seen, that was outdated as that one, sadly, is samford's former gym, but hey, everybody gets to make some nice changes after a while. The funny thing is, a lot of big name acts and bands are opting to perform at UCF's new place over the arena downtown. Of course, once the new downtown magic arena is built, that will all change. Do you miss the central florida area at all?

post, don't listen to sparrow, his job just drives him crazy and skews his perspective.(i know because i live with him and see it first hand) I admit, I knock this place every now and then *even earlier tonight actually), but the bottom line is any town is what you make of it, and you can't beat living near the coast and warm weather 11 months out of the year. I'm about to get an engine for my jonboat and putt around the indian river again. That should be a great addition to my future weekends.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A committee overseeing the University of Central Florida's new on-campus stadium will be tackling concerns about a lack of water fountains at the facility after more than a dozen people suffered from heat exhaustion at the school's first game Saturday.

The Knights lost to the Texas Longhorns 35-32 on Saturday.

During the game, emergency crews passed out free cups of water while several people suffered heat exhaustion.

Firefighters at the event said with the hot temperatures and so many people, it was difficult to keep up.

I heard about that...thats pretty dumb of them

but man, what a game it was on saturday....3 point loss (which could've been a win if it weren't for 3 key Turnover's by the QB) to the sixth ranked team in the country...I'd say UCF is doing alright with itself....I believe they opened their doors in the late 60's and they are the sixth largest school in the country, the largest in Florida

that's interesting, because we were actually looking for water fountains, and we came across a short line for water. They were passing out free cups of it, and it only took me about 30 seconds in line. Nobody seemed rushed. Then again, I was on the shaded (comparatively speaking) side of the stadium, so maybe the need was more urget on the other side.
The atmosphre was amazing, game was great, and I got in for free. Two ignorant people were leaving the game and giving away their $50 tickets because they interpreted the brief , 15 min lighting delay as a sign that the game was cancelled, and they just handed us the tickets. Besides the water issue, the only other negative I found was the lack of coordination in getting all the traffic flowing in the right direction after the game. We actually almost had a head-on collision.
Mr. Jack Sparrow was supposed to join us, but he backed out and opted to watch the game on TV.
Like this article shows, the only downside of the stadium was the lack of water fountains, but overall, I was VERY impressed. UCF's team and the athletic dept did an admiral job.

UCF probably is the second or third best D I-A team in Florida this year...its between them and USF...though, I am not sure of USF at this point...UCF is very talented....and I doubt this will be the last time we hear about them on the national scene

Have you ever drank (drunk, drinked, whatever) the public water in Florida? Heat stroke is probably safer.

I didn't say powers, I said better then Florida state and Miami this year...they both have a long way to go to be powers in the state of florida
