Coastal Carolina men's basketball coach to decide future Monday or Tuesday

Coastal Carolina men's basketball coach Buzz Peterson has been offered the Director of Player Personnel job with the Charlotte Bobcats, Peterson said Saturday.

Peterson, who took over at CCU in April of 2005, spent most of Saturday in Charlotte meeting with the NBA team, including Bobcats managing partner and longtime friend Michael Jordan.

Peterson returned to his Myrtle Beach home Saturday evening, and he said the next step is a meeting with Coastal Athletics Director Warren Koegel and university president David DeCenzo. The coach said he hopes that meeting will take place Monday or Tuesday, at which time he will make a final decision.

``It's about a career change and working with a close friend,'' Peterson said. ``We'll weigh it out.''
