That is true since Dom is the Ops guy and not a staff assistant. But believe me as I am sure you know, his relationship with the National team coach in Nigeria is huge. He is good friends with Julius Nwoso as well and Juice is going to ba an assistant on the national team or perhaps head coach if they make it to the Olympics. Juice's playing career is winding down and he has been bittten by the coaching bug. RMK needs to build a relationship with Nwoso and others that are alumnus. I have been getting him in contact with a few, a little at a time. We are going to try to make the Alumni game a big success again this season too. Hopefully Juice will come as well....So my point is we may still have some Nigerian connections if RMK can bring Nwoso back into the family so to speak.
Preach it SCAR! I alluded to the same thing in a post a while back. Re-cultivating relationships with alumni like Julius could reap some big rewards down the road. I think a lot of our former ballers have positive memories of their experiences as student-athletes at LU and if they got to know our current staff would be able to open some doors in areas where they have some influence.
Scar - If Juice is here in Houston, you need to get me in contact with him. I know Dream has been back in town so that indicates to me the Nigerian National Team is probably getting ready to train right by my work again. It'd be cool to get our two most famous Nigerian alumni together here in Houston if they haven't already.

Hey Sly, let me know if you see Thabeet working out at Hakeem's bball camp this summer. I think Okafor is supposed to be there too.

Okafor lives right around the corner from my station so I see him fairly regularly in the summer.
They all play at the legendary Fonde summer pro league that Moses Malone still lords over. Hasheem went to school right by my house but I'm not sure if he'll be at Hakeem's camp.
