SEC West = 2-4 in bowl games. It's truly amazing what happens to the "best" division in the "best" conference when they don't get their usual scheduling down advantage.

The 7 SEC West teams played 4, that's FOUR, P5 opponents OOC and only 1 on the road. They also played 5 FCS teams in November. USC and UCLA had as many legit OOC opponents as the entire SEC West combined.

They were undefeated against nobody because the played nobody. They were the Globetrotters playing the Generals most games.

The reality of the SEC is nowhere near the hype.

There's only so much a coach can do. If a player just doesn't want to get up for a game then he likely isn't going to no matter what the coach does. Well I guess if the coach decided to pay them if they won they might would get up, but that's a whole different can of worms.

TCU was, at worst, the 3rd best team. Putting Ohio State in was a horrendous decision (now watch them upset Bama).

The old system would have placed Bama against FSU for the title leaving the two teams currently playing for the title on the outside looking in playing in the Rose Bowl. SEC team who plays nobody OOC and has the best run in conference against traditional power from a lesser P5 conference that ran the table.

That's how the SEC won so many BCS "championships."

Now let's get this thing up to 8 teams with each P5 champion plus 3 at large bids that come from wherever.
