On his call to the ACC, the refs admitted they blew that call and it should have been a flag. I'm guessing that would have negated the offensive PI call if it happened and repeat 4th and goal, correct?

My only other thought on the PI is that Kelly was told that # 7 Fuller was flagged for the play, which if true is confusing. If it was # 20 Prosise, it looks like a penalty. The sad thing is I think Robinson would have scored regardless, he was WIDE open.
If the helmet came off after the play was dead FSU would have still gotten the ball and 1/2 distance to the goal line
Both WR could have been flagged so take your pick. It would have been great to see Robinson try and score. He was open but I would like to see the FSU DB make a play. It would have been close!
Way late here, but the dead ball infraction would have been enforced after the PI was marked off. Unsportsmanlike conduct is an automatic 1st down. It would have been 1st and goal ND from the 9 with 13 seconds to play.

I'm just glad the ACC apologized for it. Wheew. All better now.
I was thinking that the ball was FSU after that call. My bad

Ole Miss scores on an 80-yard td pass after the receiver runs a "rub route" that frees the other receiver right in front of the ref. Same ESPN crew working the game called this one a good play after toasting ND last week.
Nice ESecPN.

This play was far more obvious...except they used the term "rub" instead of "pick."
As it was mentioned in this thread, it might be the rule, but if it isn't consistently enforced, it's hard to tell when you are going to be able to get away with it.
