Best part of a good draft for the Redskins is RG3 showing up at the team draft party and doing jumping jacks like his knee was never injured.

First year I've watched NFL feed...wow, it was world's better Thuraday night. Comparable on Friday, but still better. While Mel Kiper is hard to watch sometimes, I like the banter between he and McShay. Berman is downright AWFUL! Poor guy is past his prime.

For Geno's sake, I wish he hasn't gone to the Jets. If they go into the season with 3 QB's, my 3 would be: Garrard, Geno, McIlroy. Trade Tebow to Jacksonville for WHATEVER you can get. That helps that organization. The NFL should force this so Jacksonville can sell tickets.

Did I just become a little bit of a Rams fan? I think so!

My Redskins got help in the secondary, and a change-of-pace RB in Thimas in Rd. 5. I'm happy with their draft.

oh yeah, NFLN coverage is a million times better on every football event. Mayock > Kiper and Eisen > Berman/Wingo. ESPN's guys are all cocky and talking down to the audience. Cris Carter and Dilfer are the worst. The only down side to NFLN's draft coverage is they gave up on going over each pick way earlier than ESPN did. They kept having stories and discussions while there was picking going on.

I'm with JK. St Louis is now my 2nd favorite team.
I actually like Kipper but agree that Eisen is much better. It seems the NFL network still has a few wrinkles to iron out but in a year or 2 they'll be better.
STILL too much time between picks. 15 minutes is more like 30. Ugh

How about them Bengals? Picking up Gio Bernard, Tyler Eifert, and Margus Hunt. The boys in stripes seem to just keep getting stronger. With Gio and Eifert coming in Dalton will be able to shine in the short game in the middle since he struggles with the deep ball.

I don't have NFL Network, so I have to suffer through Chris Berman, who needed to be set out to pasture several years ago. I do like Schefter a lot though, and one thing you miss if you skip over espn is Gruden. He likes to start fights and stares at Berman like "I'm not going to help you out pal, you just keep making a fool of yourself".

I don't mind Mel Kiper, just wish he would be more specific and decisive. When they ask him a question or "What do you think, Mel?", he just spews out everything in his head like he's trying to show off.

They need to have a professional host this thing, like Tirico. Unfortunately there are too few of them at that network.

As for the picks, I thought the Rams had the best pick of the night grabbing Taveon Austen. The Bills with the worst grabbing Manuel at QB. Can't believe the Steelers were able to get Jarvis Jenkins.

The Redskins were solid, getting much-needed secondary help. I get that Shanahan's MO is compiling running backs, but did they really need to draft two of them this year?

I was glad they were able to get both Austin and Bailey. Bradford was going to need playmakers even before Amendola went to New England. Getting some line help with Barrett Jones was good too. Would have liked to see a DL pickup but they did get a good player in Ogletree who can pair with Laurinitis.

the mock draft guys are generally so horrific, they make meteorologists look like prophets. Jon gruden seemed to be right on alot of the night.

i have to give the nfl credit. The draft is for the most part unwatchable for my tastes. i don't care what these guys squat, what their senior bowl looked like, what small rodent skeletons you can reconstruct from disecting their poo. just tell me where the notables went, what my team drafted and about the only analysis i need is a letter grade but even that is totally arbitrary. but the nfl has done a fantastic job of marketing this boring as crap event. the average fan doesn't know a single thing about 1/2 of the players picked in the first round (that may be even too high), hardly anyone in the 2nd and the 3rd-7th are filled with people from colleges many have even heard of. The impact that any of these people have on their team is many times undecidable until YEARS down the road. YET, their ratings are fantastic. 10 years ago, the only people that cared about trudging through the entire weekend (when it was 2 days) were complete diehards. nobody cared. now its so marketed and storied up, that they've been able to draw it out over 3 days and most just eat it up.

and i like what my bills did. ej manual? we'll see but those qb's this year are a crapshoot. historically, i would of probably liked to see barkley (white/prostyle) but thats not worked well for USC qb's the last few years. Now that that style of qb is flourishing a bit more in the nfl, i like the pick more than i would of 5 or 6 years ago.

The first one was taken to be a third down/pass catching back. The second one was taken as a 7th round flier because he was very productive when healthy at Rutgers and only declared as early as he did because his mom has breast cancer and he wants to make enough money to pay for treatment. There's a solid chance that both make the roster, even though the 7th rounder may only be a practice squad guy at first. Rutgers fans have compared his size/running style to Ray Rice.

Roy Helu? .... Ray Rice is the only thing Rutgers fans have to compare anything to.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm sure they're good players, but just thought they could have gone with other positions.

Helu may or may not be healthy enough to contribute. He just missed a season with turf toe that hasn't shown any progress until recently. He's also not a good pass blocker but is solid as a pass catcher. He might end up as the 3rd down back but could also be 3rd or 4th on the depth chart even if he's healthy.

If Helu really is healthy then I'd think it would be Morris, Helu as the 3rd down/spell the starter back, Thompson as the change of pace back with occasional 3rd down looks, and Jamison/Royster battling for the final spot. If that happens then I think Royster is gone as it doesn't seem like Shanny wants him around. If Helu isn't healthy, then he could end up being the one that is shown the door.
