I've taken my sons to App States football camps the last two years and had the chance to meet Jerry Moore a year ago. While looking at their National Championship trophies he walked up to me and said hello. I thought he was a true gentlemen and a great ambassador of their school. He gave me a behind the scenes tour of their facility and spent 45 minutes talking to me in his office. I thought that was interesting considering he didn't have too. At the end he was a great salesman, I would have signed my son up for that program given the chance.

After seeing their facitilies and school I came away with the opinion that he does more with less compared to my alma mater. They have a great stadium, and training facilities but it does match up to what Liberty has. Of the 3 or 4 Southern Conference schools that I've been to Liberty by far has better facilities. The weight room at App was probably half the size of Liberty's. But under his leadership he's got the players to buy in to what he's selling and they've won. He told me that he personally views every recruit video that is sent to him and then gives it over to the position coach. Maybe that's the norm but I thought that was pretty respectful.

App State will continue to be a power. He's laid the ground work and they'll continue to be good. He truly is a class act.
