If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

USA defeats Mexico 1-0, to finally beat Mexico in Estadio Azteca. Sure, it's a friendly, but very encouraging.

I won't take credit for this, saw it on Twitter, but there were more Mexican fans at games played in the US than there were at this game. The US fans had to be escorted out of the stadium by the police at the end of the game, they were being pelted with stuff by the home fans.

Though he doesn't always deliver, I get excited every time Brek Shea touches the ball. Dude has no fear. This game also showed us how dependant we've become on Michael Bradley.

I certainly believe it. Some Mexicans did the same thing when Costa Rica tied up a game in 2010 qualification with 30 seconds of stoppage time left... they threw beer bottles and beer cups everywhere.

Oh well. Maybe we should tighten up that border now? :D I enjoy watching Mexico play soccer, but the fans are downright disgraceful. They always have been.

I honestly hope the USSF does the right thing and allows Klinsmann carte blanche to do as he pleases in reshaping the entire soccer development system in the US.

USA loses 2-1. Just a terrible, anemic, uninspired, pathetic effort. Waiting to see the other game but I assume Guatemala will defeat Antigua.

Friendly reminder that World Cup Qualifying game between with Antigua and Barbuda tonight at 7. With a three way tie at the top, it's a must win.

Lot of guys that were named to the roster are out due to injuries. We'll be missing Donovan, Shea, Torres, Castillo, and Fabian Johnson. Still, even with these injuries, we should win these next two games.

As long as we win in Antigua, and draw against Guatemala, we should be able to sneak in. I think Jamaica will defeat Guatemala.

But, then again if we can't beat Antigua, we don't deserve to advance anyway.

I believe we left Altidore off the roster as well...quite possibly the only guy on our radar that can get his own shot.

It was odd to leave Jozy off the team with how well he's been playing for his club. Sometimes these "lessons" that coaches try to teach are counterproductive.

Side note, anyone see that the Seattle/Portland game drew over 66,000? I hope we see this nationwide in the next several years.

Eddie Johnson scores again in the 91st minute to take a 2-1 lead!

United States escapes. Absolutely ugly, but it's 3 points.

Yes but more so in Soccer.

If memory serves and at my age it may be wrong. But didn't Germany struggle under Jurgen when they were heading into the World Cup before making their big run?

Actually, when you take into consideration aggregate scoring, that's not really true at all.
