olldflame wrote:I'm not sure what LUnpretty is referring to. Personally, I would have liked to have seen Summers and Rocco handle that situation differently after the game Randy, but I understand why they were mad, and it was not the tackle they were upset about. It was Norman's behavior after the tackle.I don't know what specific behavior you're referring to, because I don't remember exactly what happened. When I have a chance, I'll watch the replay on ESPN3 and see if I see what you're talking about.

After Summers crossed the goal line on the 80-yard TD pass, as he was going down the ball came loose. While he was laying on the ground hurt, with the officials having signaled the TD immediatly, Norman grabbed the ball and ran around in the end zone holding it out at arms length as if to say "look, I have the ball". I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he was somehow trying to get a fumble call from the officials and not taunting, but either way it was uncalled for. I have no problem with the tackle itself, although I think it was correctly called a penalty. He was just trying to make a play.
Norman is a terrific corner. The play he made going clear across the field to catch the WIU receiver from behind yesterday was one that few DBs at any level of college football could make.

If I put myself in their shoes, I don't "shoo" Norman away when he tries to apologize. Not that my opinion matters.

Is anyone else shocked that Nova is killing App State in Boone? Second half score is 35-17.
Elsewhere, George Southern is beating Wofford 14-0 in the first half (the announcer just made a BJ-like quote that GSU is "stepping on the throats" of Wofford).
