If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

There are a ton of D3 players playing pro ball, one actually just recently hit the major leagues - Eric Kratz from EMU got called up to the Pirates while playing during the AAA All-Star Game. Still a significant achievement from Taylor, but it's not like this is something that doesn't happen very often as 22 D3 players were drafted this past season [not including players who signed as free agents] and D3 annually produces between 15-25 draftees every year. In fact, including Taylor, there are at least 99 D3 players currently in some level of the MLB.

None of them became all stars or got called up after 18 ab's...that's the point

Geez, if that's the case the pirates would have released Alvarez 3 times b/c EVERY time he got called up he'd bat about .150 for the first month and then just tear it up...now he just hit his 4th homerun in 2 games after batting around .200 and he hands down has the best talent and power we've seen since Strawberry

It takes time! He is not a sure fire prospect right now...but he's not even close to being a bust either....I've been around the game to long and seen to many players make adjustments to make judgement this quick

Never said he was anything close to a bust. Just said 1-for-18 isn't a good start. Simple as that, no need to be putting words into my mouth.
