The Koreans deserved it. They were bumping the whole time not to mention the whole "no team racing allowed despite the fact that it's completely unenforceable." And how about the Canadian guy being put in the finals because he was taken out by another skater in the previous race. What a bunch of BS that is.

Incidentally, both Chad Hedrick & Shani Davis both finished way back in the 5000m long track competition. It was disappointing for both of them but I thought it was interesting that NBC put nearly all of their attention on Davis who finished in 12th one slot behind Chad. Chad's big event is the 1500m where he won the world championship over Shani in December. Hopefully the results will be repeated.

Today's biathlon event was pretty interesting. They said something like 62% of biathlon medal winners are perfect in their shooting and all the top guys missed like 2 or 3 targets which is unheard of. I wonder what it is about this course since most competitors commented that it was a very easy track.

Did anybody just see that ending in the cross country skiing event?!?! Holy Carp! That stupid frenchie chased our guy down and beat him by a fraction of a second. That stinking frog is american born too. Reminds me of that Gesepi kid that plays soccer fro Italy. Oh well, 3 americans in the top 6 in an event that we've never gotten a medal in.

Yeah, the Nordic Combined finish was nuts. I never thought I would be screaming at the TV during THAT event. The team event should be good for us with the high placing of the top 3 Americans.

The Olympics are too much fun.
And as I type that, I realize couples figure skating is on. Gah.

I was shouting at the TV during that Nordic combined finish...to see two Americans in contention down to the last kilometer (one getting caught in the last 30 meters) in an event that we never even medaled is great.

I feel like a good majority of people winning Gold medals for other countries trained and went to school in USA. We should stop doing that so we can really show our dominance.

The same thing happens in the Summer Olympics, especially in the Track & Field events. Virtually every sprinter who wins a medal either went to college or trains here.

Be careful what you ask for. Can you say "goodbye Sammy Chelanga"?

I tuned in near the end of the coverage of that and they said that there was snw that came in I think just before and threw a wrench into things

USA picks up a bronze in men's moguls as the Canadians finally get one on their home turf.

Also, Seth Wescott once again beats Nate Holland on the stage that matters defending his title in men's snowboardcross. Holland finished fourth

This is a bit late but did anyone else read the headline "Luger Dies in Accident" and immediately think that this guy had been in a car wreck?

I have to admit Lex was the first one who came to my mind.

The downhill was spectacular visually to watch. HS has helped my appreciation of the Winter Games immensely.

Anybody see the slushy mess at the speedskating venue? Talk about embarrassing for the Olympic Committee.

Looking back this will be one of the worst thought out games of all time.

1. Weather
2. Luge
3. Ice
4. The pot hole on turn 3

I don't get what the deal is with this drool on the biathloners. It's seriously disgusting. None of the other skiers seem to have it. But speaking of biathlon, this pursuit event is kinda stupid. You take the previous results and them start them accordingly. So the guy who has proven himself to be the best by already winning a gold, now gets a head start at almost the same exact event. It's like medal padding for countries that are good at this.

I guess it's because they are working harder then any of the other outdoor games for a longer period....and if you've ever run outside in freezing temp's then you know the stinging that takes place in the throat...maybe that has something to do with it? I dont know but It's odd for sure
