If I was a coach, I would take Billups or Gilbert Arenas to take the last shot in a big game, if I got to choose anyone that's still around/recent.

Billups is a good choice, Arenas on the other hand is not, he'd probably get injured while trying to get off a shot.

Dirk Nowitzki is another good option.

Gilbert, no, not really. In 06-07, last time he played more than half a season, Wizards were 12-24 in clutch situations (4th quarter or overtime, less than 5 minutes left, neither team ahead by more than 5 points). GIlbert only shot 36.7% in those situations that season. Arenas that season doesnt even come close to the top dogs from this season

Also, everyone needs to take a note of how good Kobe was in clutch situations this year http://www.82games.com/0809/CSORT11.HTM. He led the NBA in points/48 in the clutch and shot 45.7% in those situations while shoot 40% from three 92% from the line. I'm still going with Lebron though, in the clutch, he averaged a triple double per 48 at 55.9 points, 14.3 rebounds, and 12.6 assists, those ar ejust mind boggling numbers while shooting at an incredibly good rate - 55.6% overall, 42.1% from three, and 85% from the charity stripe.
