I speak from personal experience that Lubbock is awful. Bitter? Absolutely not.

If you are referring to being bitter because an Aggy won the Heisman then you probably have a point.

That's what I was referring to!

Texas Tech has a 'storied' history of coaches.

very weak class of heisman finalists. Te'o wasn't the best defensive player in the NCAA let alone best player, Klein was a decent candidate, but Manziel blew them all away in sheer numbers against superior competition.

Of everyone on this board Haize, you're the most vocal against a move up. Klein is a better "Liberty student" than most Liberty students and even got married his senior year in true Liberty fashion. There are a ton of kids out there that are great fits for Liberty - but they don't take American Ex...errrr they don't want to play FCS.

I agree. Te'O was hurt by the fact he wasn't the best defensive player in the country and if he played for Minnesota instead of ND he wouldn't be there.
I was surprised by how dominant Johnny Football's win was. I thought for sure Te'O would have had the Midwest locked up.

I have said that same statement about Te'O many times to fellow football fans. I think his story and it being ND he got much more play than he should have. I said the same thing about the honey badger last year. He should not have been a finalist and he had much better stats than Te'O and was multidimensional. I have no faith in the NCAA......until Liberty makes it to the FBS.

I'm just asking critical questions. Perhaps the most critical of all actually.
And while you may be right, I don't recall ever hearing Tebow or Klein say 'I really had a great carrier. I just wish Liberty University had been FBS so I could have played there"

The critical questions are when? How soon? To which conference? Once there, how far can we go?

You can tell Te'O was upset. It was such a great story I SORTA wish he'd won

As soon as the call comes, 48 hours after the call, C-USA/MAC/SunBelt, The sky's the limit with Turner Gill.

I hope that answers everything.

Well that WKU vs. UK matchup this September just got a lot more interesting. Bobby Petrino vs. the likely return of Air Raid to Kentucky with the hire of Neal Brown from Texas Tech.

I covered Kliff in high school and in college and as an assistant coach at UH. It hardly seems possible for him to be old enough to be a head coach at a BCS level university. But he certainly has a terrific offensive mind.

That's exactly the same thing I was thinking when he was mentioned as a possibility for the Kentucky job. Didn't he just finish his pro playing career less than 10 years ago? Talk about a fast riser...

For a second, I thought maybe they were going to go into the business of allowing all of their freshman to get into drunken fights, produce fake IDs, get arrested, and then win the Heisman without the media mentioning any of the infractions, but maybe that's in a different article.
