AGREED. Hate to admit it (But I have already when this first happened) - But, this has been a good move for Seth. His game has gotten a lot better and all that said he couldn't play Defense, I believe he has proven you all wrong.

He's setting himself up as a sure NBA player now - I'm not sure he would have done that here.

Well the level of coaching he is getting is just a bit better.

He has improved a lot compared to where he was at this time last year. He looked a little out of place most of the year but this year he really looks like he belongs. Good for him, but it still hurts haha

He traveled, the camera immediately zoomed in on him just in time to see him drop the F bomb.

I'm glad he had "Duke" on his chest and not "Liberty."

I think it's fair to say that if he had Liberty on his chest he probably would not be dropping F bombs (with the camera on him anyway.) Everyone knows K is a potty mouth. He learned it from the master. Profanity is a part of the culture of Duke basketball. I still don't like it, but by dropping F-bombs, Seth is basically just fitting in.

I really hope that Curry wins with his schooling and his faith, but I'm sitting here watching the Maui Invitation and I still wish him nothing but the worst on the court. I feel so bad, but I can't stand him as much as I hated Joakim Noah from Florida (I attended Kentucky both years UF won the Nat Champ) and JJ from Duke. It just makes my blood boil. Seriously, the thing I hate the worst is that K sits in the refs ear and yells the entire game so he gets call after call after call and Curry is just riding the wave. I just needed to vent.

How it that Curry's fault?

You obviously don't want him to succeed which is killing you that he is

Seth Curry had to do what was best for Seth Curry. It's the same thing with a job. You're working in one company or office, and the opportunity for a better postion/better pay comes up with another company or office, you have to decide to do what is best and right for you. You cannot blame him for transferring. It's time to move past the pain. The only legit reason to be against him now is if you just hate Duke.

bitterness isnt going to help your overall health outlook newnavy. To use a different analogy, it'd be about on par with if you dated a girl for a while and you broke up, and you saw her with another guy and she was happy and you saw them at the mall food court together and it made you mad to see her happy with this other guy.

I normally get really bitter and hate forever on people like this...but seriously, he really did better himself and it worked out in the best possible way for him.

Think about this...how may players, coach's or anyone else leave LU and it seem like a great idea 2 or 3 years down the road.

I mean I was upset about him leaving, but we're Liberty not freaking UNC or anything close so this kind of thing is expected. He isn't the one that claimed God called him to Liberty and he was finally "home"...just sayin

And every other coach in America isn't barking at the refs to get a call? Get real.

It's only the end of the 2011-2012 regular season, so there's obviously still tournament play to go and he's currently 11 games short of the season of 35 he played at LU, but let's take a look at the stats...

-----------------
2011-2012 (Duke)
-----------------

Mins: 30.1
PTS: 13.5
FG: 43.5%
FGA: 9.9
3PT: 39.9%
3PA: 4.8
FT: 86.9%
FTA: 3.5
REB: 2.5
AST: 2.4
BLK: 0.2
STL: 1.3
PF: 2.1
TO: 2.0

So do we still think this guy is going to completely stink in ACC play? He's improved on last year pretty respectably. (Previous year stats below.)

Just curious.

-----------------
2010-2011 (Duke)
-----------------

Mins: 25.0
PTS: 9.0
FG: 42.3%
FGA: 6.5
3PT: 43.5%
3GA: 4.0
FT: 78.8%
FTA: 2.3
REB: 1.8
AST: 2.0
BLK: 0.1
STL: 1.4
PF: 1.7
TO: 0.9

--------------------
2008-2009 (Liberty)
--------------------

Mins: 36.5
PTS: 20.2
FG: 41.7%
FGA: 16.7
3PT: 34.7%
3PA: 8.4
FT: 83.2%
FTA: 4.1
REB: 4.4
AST: 2.3
BLK: 0.3
STL: 1.4
PF: 1.5
TO: 2.3

He's been a role-player who couldn't be picked out of a Duke lineup by most non-Duke fans and has been overshadowed by freshmen the two years he's played there. But at least he's improved from last season to this season. Congrats.

I wouldn't argue with any of that. But, it's a far stretch from the total ACC flop that some here were predicting.

Sure, that's fine. I never took sides when he left, dude has zero impact on me at all. It's just how I see it. Though my hatred of Duke may cloud my judgement some.

Totally agree.... Kyrie Irving and now Austin Rivers, plus Mason and Miles (Both will be first round picks) So at best he is the 4th option for the other team to defend! Also Dawkins should only be a sophomore and Curry should be a senior. Dawkins skipped his senior year of HS to join DOOK.

Dawkins is the same age as Curry though. Curry was the age of most high school seniors his freshman year. In my opinion, knowing his body needed a year to catch up to the big boys after playing a year was one of the most appealing things to transferring.

I call it like I see it, I'm completely shocked at his success at Duke and he 100% made the correct decision (if only considering his future pro career) I'm just keeping it real people. I rose to the occasion but NOBODY could see this coming if you watched him in practice. He didnt take direction well and he wasnt a self motivator....he's like the kid in class who fails every test....apparently the parents were right when they said the problem is they werent being challenged in class

I really had no idea any LU fan actually had hard feelings with Curry for leaving. He played 36 minutes per game against BigSouth competition and averaged 20 points per game. Who in their right mind wouldn't leave for one of the most storied programs in college basketball history along with by far the best current coach? Everyone knew the kid wouldn't be a bust. He single handily kept us in games last year, he's had to step up when Rivers has been cold (that's like 1/3rd of this years season) and he's emerging as a team leader for next year. He definitely made the right decision leaving Liberty.

Interesting since Irving left last year and Curry is 2nd leading scorer on the team...Do your research.

First of all sweaty pits--- Curry isn't the only Big South player that could play in ACC... Blair, Reggie Williams, Primm, Dickey, Alonzo Coleman, DJ Covington. Those guys would be recruited by ACC schools if they decided to leave.

#1 - his brother success made it possible for him to leave
#2 - his last name/ daddy day care being friends with Jay Bilas is also why is at Dook..

Seth scoring 20 a game at LU was inflated stats anyway RMK let when shoot anytime and everyone was more worried about pre season POY Anthony Smith....his attitude is selfish.
