one thing I thought of with the promotion system is just every year, top four teams from each league form the A league the next year and, top four in that also get the option of having a team in the B league, but I dont know how many people would want two teams in essentially the same thing.

But hopefully next year we could get up 20 people interested, just so we could have 10 team leagues. But then would it just be the top 5 players from each league?

I don't think you can take the top 4 from each league every year. It's ok to do that the first year since we're all on an even playing field. But in every year after that you can't replace half of your "best" league. We could do the top 4 or 5 from both leagues this year. Then the top 2-3 from league B replace the bottom 2-3 from league A. After the first 2 years I would recommend to not change more than 1 or 2 a year. And perhaps make a rule where if you win league A you are automatically in that league for the next 3 seasons regardless of where you finish.

as far as the show the league...i watched about 3 episodes of the first season. cliched jokes, typical spike tv tard college humor,forced sexuality, and a "these are the people you draft with" fantasy site article all rolled into one.

i chuckled a few times but overall it was hohum.

Ok so looking at our season in review take a look at these season stats and just guess who made the playoffs and who didn't.

I'll tell you who didn't make the freakin playoffs is me the top scorer in the freaking league at 1322 while Flatlanders (who didn't even have a positive net points) won our division.

The probabilities don't align with what happened.

it happens. luconn made it in our long running league with almost 300 pts less scored than I. i was 7th, he was 6th. he scored the least amount of points in the entire league. i of course had more pts scorred on me than anyone else in the league as usual.

summary: luconn is a gay

I'm guessing the guy with 987 made it in. It's funny how it works. It's all about matchups, and therefore a fair amount of luck of the draw on how your opponent scores on a given week. I know in one of the leagues I do, a fellow went 11-2 but was fifth or sixth in scoring. Crazy stuff.

If we run a 10 team "A" League next year, we would ideally take 5 teams from each league. In the LUconn league, we have 6 teams in the playoffs. What happens if the 6 Seed wins the championship? Is seed 5 out? Or do we go strictly by tourney results? Then the 3 Seed could lose the opening round and the 5/6 consolation and be out. I really don't care though.

If a situation like that came about, id say we establish some sort of tie breaker. Like as it stands now, the top 5 teams from each league should be the A league next year. But if after the playoffs, the 6 ranked team from Luconn's league is the champion, then we have some sort of tie-breaker to establish which of those 6 teams gets left out. Ours is fine because we only have 4 in the playoffs

I meant the specific transition from this year to next, as there is no A/B league to pull from. Well, any league in which a player can spend his entire budget on one player and make the playoffs might as well be the B league.

at the end of this year. yes, take the top 4/5 from each league and create teh A league. but once thats established. keep it simple. 3 move up or down.

The tough part, a few weeks ago I remember someone from Luconn's league saying you guys had a different scoring system than us, that could skew the results if we are going off of total points scored

Forget the standings. Yahoo has a playoff system thatdetermines each spot. That's what the playoffs are for. I'm assuming espn does the same.
