I looked before I did it and it didn't affect player costs. Now, it may mean everyone gets one more "big bid" but not much else

Just seeing all the last weeks drama. Almost kind of glad Im not in A league this year. It was never a keeper league, and as was discussed during the draft last year (for those in attendance) it echoed what Adam just said above, you can make it $1000 per team and people will still spend the same % on players.

The draft was an abomination. I may actually look forward to getting down to B League next year. And based on not being able to get home for a 7pm draft on a national holiday, it appears that is where I am headed. Oh well, I'll give it a week to see if I can cobble together a roster off the waiver wire. If it doesn't work out, I'll have more free time this fall.

I explained it last night Adam in the draft (yes PH I actually showed up), I felt bad for all the drama last week so I figured I would up everybody's budget because of how sorry I was for all the mess.

Upping a budget in an auction league does nothing. You could have doubled the budget and all it would have done was make a $20 player suddenly worth $40. All it did was mess people up who had figured what to spend on each player/position based on a $200 budget. There is no such thing as player "costs" in an auction league, so stop referring to them that way. Those are predicted values - it's what that player should go for in an auction.

And when you change the time of the draft on the forums, you might want to change that time on the league site as well. I was there on Friday and saw it was a 9PM draft and figured that you'd changed your mind about the 8PM start. Luckily I got home at about 8:00 and was online at 8:15 to do a mock draft when I noticed the draft had started.

That was my fault for not getting a note out. with my laptop out of commission for the time being I couldnt get on the one shared computer in the house because my sister (those of you who are new to the board, its a long story...check the Chapel for some threads I have posted about her) was spending large periods of time trying to download recipes and make applications to grad school (even though they sent her a C&D...multiple times) and try to order expensive things online. ANyway, with her being on the computer so much, I can't take care of the things I needed to. That said, if I am commissioner next year (that is very much up for debate after this year's nonsense I caused), Im not making the same mistakes I made this year.

Yeah, late last week I learned that I was going to have to work on the night of the draft. As a precaution, I set up my own personal value for players so I could at least try to snag a few during the auction. Needless to say BJ's raising of the budget kind of threw that into the crapper. Oh well, it's my fault for not keeping up with Flamefans recently I guess haha I still like my team though for the most part.

B League was pretty competitive this opening weekend. Everything going well in A League?

I was down by about 90 points at around 6PM or so, and I came back to win by 11.

If I remember it was 110 to 19 or something like that.

I was down 15 heading into Monday night and had the game won before the end of the first quarter of the first game. It's going to be a very competitive league this year with a lot of the top talent pretty well spread out
