East Coast schools should not be in West coast conferences, and west coast schools should not be in east coast conferences. And no school should be admitted to any conference for only 1 sport.

Your opinion is read, acknowedged, and given appropriate weight, especially since Liberty is in the Big East only for field hockey, Ohio Valley Conference only for men's soccer, and the Atlantic Sun only for women's swimming and diving.

I thought the earlier proposal of merging MWC and PAC was a good idea that made sense. Which is probably why it’s not gonna happen
As for a Jet I could see LU investing in a 737 or A320 The chartering costs have to be substantial and while owning that type of aircraft would be expensive it would also be prestigious

I’m starting to think we end up back at a MWC - PAC merger. Trying to play silly games just to leave out 2-3 meh programs doesn’t seem worth all the frivolous lawsuits. Then again common sense never happens in cfb.

At this point I think washington/Oregon st should play the long game and join MWC, wait until the current GOR is almost over and then join up with the top 8ish teams in the MWC to split off and create their own conference like MWC did to the WAC without having to pay exit fees.

This is interesting, the AAC may be trying to shore up their conf by adding Texas St. Which would seem to be a better fit for the Bobcats than going west to a Pac-12 or MWC. They have regional rivals like UTSA, North Texas, and Rice.

At that point would the AAC find a second school to make an even 16? And who would the Sun Belt pursue to replace Texas St? Ironically Sam Houston would probably be the best fit if they want to continue a presence in Texas and maintain east/west divisions. Or look to FIU to get into Florida.

Yeah there's nothing in the cards at the moment that seems to be a 'help' to LU. We're simply not well-liked and that's the bottom line.

The only thing that could help LU would be the AAC going to 16, and us getting an invite along with Texas State. Chances of that happening are smaller than someone on this board hitting the Powerball jackpot.

We are not looked at as a legitimate school, and just a diploma mill. Have folks forgotten about that? Look where LU is list in the rankings. Anyone believe that's a coincidence? In their eyes we can be equal to play college sports but separate from the likes of "valid" schools.

Yes, I know Jr has little, if anything, to do with the perception of LU although he certainly didn't help. I saw ranking today on twitter that had us ranked 413th tied with Kennesaw State I believe.

I absolutely agree with you 100% this is the primary issue with any potential conference moves.

I love how our online program helps so many people, and that can’t be the only factor in these rankings, but 413th is straight embarrassing. We’re dead last on that graph.

It looks like the best we can hope for is CUSA remains untouched.

The second best outcome is we only lose Utep and NMS.

Even in that case...CUSA will be okay with 10.

A weird situation would be if the sunbelt loses one and for some reason takes FIU. Not super likely, but that would leave CUSA with 11 and actually help CUSA:s footprint, and they could add one FCS in Texas and creat east west divisions of 6. In that scenario I think CUSA actually ends up better.

Best hope is CUSA doesn't take major hits. Even this year...LU is doing well. WKU is doing well and it:d be great if they upset Boston College this week. Sam Houston is coming on. I'm confident it won't take Delaware long to be a strong program as well.

If CUSA can hold together for a while...It can be a solid G5.

Mac schools only make $2.5M per year, so Toledo or NIU could double their money making the move. If only NIU leaves then the MAC could stay put with UMass incoming.

At this point nothing would surprise me. The Pac and MWC are clearly desperate and fighting over a bunch of teams that don't really make geographical sense.
