The way I read it is that it is a 5 year commitment with a $4 million dollar buy out. I don't know if that's per year left on the contract or if it:s just a flat $4 million. But nothing negative for LU from this. If somekind of AAC/ Mountain West/ Pack 12 merger or shifting happens...it's less likely that WKU or Middle Tennessee would leave. If there was an AAC offer for LU...LU would pay the $ to get out. But depending on how things shake out ... everyone might stay together in CUSA for 5 years. That's not bad. You know...for as much flack as CUSA commissioner Judy takes with the jeep picture...when CUSA was down to 5 schools and looked like imploding...it only took her and the presidents about a month to add 4 more...then she added KSU for 10. Then, for as bad as a position CUSA was in, they got a decent media deal done with CBSSN and ESPN...and also got the teams to sign a GOR for stability. Judy quickly acted to keep the conference viable even with the defections. The Pac12 seems to have imploded because it took them too long to make decisions.
