great race- only missed a bit in the middle but one of the better ones this year, IMHO

little disappointed in where the 01 finished- but good to see Mears get his first win, in spite of the company he keeps

even better to see Jeffy eat it

I have been a Nascar fan for over 30 years, being born in Martinsville, you have to love racing,I did go to qualifying but not to the race, the reason I went was to get a close up view of the COT.
I liked Nascar better when you tell what make a car was by it's shape and not just by decals and the racecar looked just like the street version.
.I am a Bill Elliott fan ,so I was happy when the Wood Brothers came a calling,Bill had a good run going in the 600 until Edwards blew the tire and should have gotten down on the apron and he wouldn't have spun out and took out Bill and Ragan, who was also having a good run.
With the rainout today, will have to listen to the race at work and keep up with the live scoring also.

yeah- thanks to the torrential downpours today in Dover, we didn't have to listen to Jeffy and his Rainbow warriors (fairies) whine about why they lost, or watch the Cheatin' 48s smirk.

then again, we didn't get to see if Kurt "I'm a friggin' schmuck" Busch (Rusty wanna-be) decided to wreck the Shrub outta retaliation.

oh well, tomorrow's another day 8)

GO 01!

I checked that. Must've been a commercial.

Why I love racing: Watching the first part of the race, taking a nap, waking up to see the ending and the highlights of the middle two hours.

Props to Truex for finally breaking through for that first career win (that's two first time winners in two races)

real good day for the Roush boys and of course, the MAN finished 7th.

still 12th in the Chase points, which is flat out amazing for a guy running PART TIME!

WHAT A DRIVER!

It's funny me and my dad were talking about how crappy Ford has become (My dad eats, sleeps, and drinks Ford's, I almost got killed for buying a Nissan a few months ago) But he was saying how they will be behind the 8 ball for a while and watch very closely on how many Toyota's make the field for these next few races....Chevy will be on top for long time espically if you add JGR to the mix of Chevy owners...

let's see what conspiracy theory the medic and tim come up with this time.....hendrick has a doppler radar system that is illegal, or whatever the heck the haters will say. bottom line the 24 's pit stategy and a little bit of luck helped get the win today. BTW, im getting tired of denny hamlin whining about he has had the best car all year but is not getting the breaks. advice for denny...just win baby!

Good to see the 01 finish 7th after starting 34th.

Just glad I missed that race- nothing like spending 85 bucks for a grandstand seat just to have Helton, Inc. throw the red flag as soon as their boy makes it to the front.

They only raced 106 out of 200 laps? That's the biggest gift "win" I've ever seen. Shoulda finished it up today.

No one should win a race because of this:
With his brakes failing and Ryan Newman nipping at the No. 24's bumper (watch video), Gordon was begging for the skies to open and let that rain start coming and not stop until he was in Victory Lane.

"It's raining! It's raining! Throw the caution!'' he said later, recalling the moment.

well you dont understand NASCAR then. they usually never come back the following day to finish a race, not unless it was never started. a gift maybe, but NASCAR never has been known for doing things the logical way
