If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

I agree.

Um...Nebraska did not fire Pellini because of his record, they fired him because he's a putz. Riley is at least as good a coach, who succeeded twice at a school with absolutely no history, and is now going to a B1G school with better academics and history. He'll win as much as Pellini and won't embarrass the school the way Bo would on a consistent basis.

Here's Oregon State from 1972-1996 (before the first Riley stint): 54-217-6 (.205). They never won more than 4 games in a year for 25 seasons before Riley's first season there. They had a winless year and 7 one win years.

As for Brandon, it is always tough to go home. His playing days helped land him the job. But he will find fans will hold him to very high standards. I'm wishing him nothing but the best.

Realy I think if they had offered back when they took RichRod, that may have turned out differently. Cutcliffe has the fans down there excited for two sports now, something I would have thought inconceivable 5-10 years ago

I'm surprised they offered because Im not sure how they thought that would be a god idea or if he even wanted to leave Duke. He was OK at Ole Miss but the QB probably helped. I think it makes Michigan look bad

The search for the next Michigan head coach continues, and the most recent reports concerning its progress involve Duke coach David Cutcliffe and LSU coach Les Miles.

Cutcliffe resurrected the Duke program, guiding the Blue Devils from 3-9 in 2011 to 6-7 in 2012 to 10-4 in 2013 to 9-3 this season with a chance to make it 10 wins with a bowl game victory. Cutcliffe earned the National Coach of the Year award in 2013.

According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, Michigan offered Cutcliffe the job, but he turned it down.

The university also reportedly contacted Miles, the National Coach of the Year in 2011. Leading into this season, LSU had racked up four straight seasons of 10 wins or more. According to GoBlueWolverine.com, Michigan reached out to Miles’ agent, but there is no word as to whether he is interested.

NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reported last week that Michigan reached out to San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh but came away convinced he wanted to remain in the NFL.

No one wants this non-elite job. The only reason I could see Les Miles taking it is if the rumors about some in their athletic department being antsy are true.

This confirms that there were tensions. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/co ... story.html
Chicago Tribune wrote:Andersen had a successful tenure, going 19-7, and is said to get along well with athletic director Barry Alvarez.

But an industry source said that Andersen was “not happy” in Madison and that it was “an awkward deal from the start.”

I'm trying to gauge your words to see sarcasm or facetiousness but it's too difficult I chortle audibly.

Tressel is currently at Youngstown State as the school president. Would he step down and coach, maybe but I doubt it. He may never coach again, then again, he stills has an agent so it's possible he could land somewhere.
I was joking. lol I'm glad someone caught it. after being president I wouldn't go back into coaching either.
