If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Based on this information, one scenario could have Idaho and NMSU out the door, as some think Karl Benson implied with his comments:

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.co ... -in-doubt/

That would leave 10 schools on the football side of the ledger. Liberty and perhaps EKU could be added, and they could create an eastern division with LU, Appalachian State, Coastal, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, and EKU. The west could include South Alabama, Troy, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Texas State, and Arkansas State.

Do we know that it's the teams out west that represented the three "no" votes for adding a private school? And were those the only "no" votes, since President Falwell said some schools were opposed to adding a Christian school?

That is actually a very appealing scenario

It is the understanding of everyone over here in Texas that I have contact with in the Sun Belt that it was indeed western schools tired of the eastern expansion. Which western schools depends on who you ask.

I'm assuming Idaho and NMSU couldn't vote because they weren't full-fledged members. Another advantage of removing them from the Sun Belt is that the footprint of the conference would make more sense. Texas State would be the westernmost school in the conference.

When can Coastal, as a member of the Sun Belt, vote on expansion?

Last time I checked CCU was further East than LU

They also failed kindergarten math (10 teams in the Big 12, 14 teams in the B1G, some number other than 10 in the Atlantic 10). Yet they got an A+ in business finance in college.

Anyone see Jeff barber's tweet? He said, "upon further review....." But there was nothing prior or after that would explain it. Any guesses?

Maybe Coastal doesn't meet the minimum requirements to move up and the invite must be rescinded

Let's see, since it is Sunday and the NFL has been on TV all day, I suspect he was referencing a challenge from one of the coaches. Wouldn't get my panties in a wad over it. :)

FTFY...Commissioners are beholden to college presidents, who act like Congress sometimes.

Big South needs to jump on them. They would be a solid add.

The Big South could use another football member, however it appears they have their eyes on the OVC and A-Sun. Maybe they'll consider joining as an associate member.

If the Big South offered, they would accept. But that would require agreement and leadership in the Big South Conference......

Well than I think it's probably safe to say JMU is no longer a threat to move to FBS
