If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

I had to run out to pick up cheesesteaks so I cranked it up and directed MrsPA to keep tabs on the game in case you said anything witty while I was gone

evidently you did not.
That's because the guy who sends him those witty remarks wasnt watching
My quote factory needs to find me on the dial and stop going to games with 12 people in the stands :P. Also MRS PA clearly missed my remark before the half about Mistletoe over the basket and going in for the KISS!

Love the A10 as a league but I'm ready to get back down to Tennessee, Florida, VA etc. I still have a few A10 trips this season in Philly and DC and back at UMASS. I wish we could cover the A10 Tournament in Brooklyn. ASN does have CUSA 1st 2 days in Birmingham. I will be there whether I'm working or not. No more Big South Conference Tourney for me.

Yeah the truck was the size of a Food Truck outside of an office building. They told us it was going to be a challenging broadcast and they turned out to be right :P

Little trivia for you: What do Gus Johnson, John Castleberry and Tim Scarborough all have in common (besides being Announcers). Answer: We all got our start in Reston, VA on the local Comcast Cable Access Station.

Not sure I have ever been an answer to a trivia question before.

If you haven't seen ODU play yet, find them on ASN this week. They are fun to watch. Former Campbell Guard Trey Freeman is leading them in the backcourt and he has made a huge difference. They are down at Middle Tennessee on Thursday at 8 PM and Saturday at UAB at 5:30 PM. I'm on the call for both games. Fox Sports Dave Barnett is with me on Friday and Doug Bell is my pbp guy on Saturday.

Also follow me on Twitter @timscar20 and follow ASN @LiveOnASN.

Just got word today officially that I will be working the Conference USA Post Season Tournament!!!!!!

I am so honored. I can't help but think of the irony that I never got to work the Big South Post Season (except as a volunteer for free the past 2 seasons). It is in Birmingham Alabama and we are covering the 1st 2 days. I just did a game down in Birmingham on Saturday. I liked what I saw of that city. It is going to be a fun few days and I am truly blessed.

Congrats, Scar! The more exposure the better It will open even more work for you down the road.

I'm not a huge fan of B-ham. But there is some decent BBQ if you don't mind hitting some of the rundown parts of the city. I'm beginning to believe that Dreamland has jumped the shark a bit with their expansion. But I am open to dissent. The same thing has happened to the Salt Lick outside of the original location.

Sly I met an Alabama State rep on Saturday that is good friends with Jeremy Monceaux's family. He told me that UAB will have football back in 2 years. He didn't even hesitate.

Yeah I will have to get some of the natives to point me in the right direction for some Que! I don't mind going into the hood. I still have my hood passport 8)

The Alabama State rep should have been looking at UAB Football's demise as opportunity for them to get better athletes and fill that new stadium of theirs.

I was told the same thing by several of my friends who are teaching at UAB.

There are people in the process of making the Alabama State university system much like Georgia and South Carolina. Taking away little bear's power.

Well if that happens or is in the works, I hope UAB gets to stay in CUSA. Liberty has no shot IMO of getting in CUSA. They are looking at 3 other schools and no one ever mentions Liberty from what I can tell. The desire is to keep UAB I think. CUSA bi-laws state that you have to be a football member to stay in but since UAB is one of 2 charter members (So Miss), they could get some time to work things out. We shall see.

Alabama 24 thanks for the tip on BBQ. I will be there a few days so I hope to check it out.

Two years would be tough for UAB. They would have several games to try and schedule and they would have to build back a roster. I can see them having football again, but not in two years.
