I was near Hamilton very recently and grew up in Amelia (and Wheelersburg -- Shout out to Phoenix). That's why I asked.

Chris Henry: WTF?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4749165
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry is "battling for his life" after falling out of the back of a pickup truck Wednesday during what police described as a domestic dispute with his fiancee.

FOXSports.com reported Henry was on life support, according to a source.

Henry was found in the road about eight miles north of downtown Charlotte "apparently suffering life-threatening injuries," according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. Police spokesman Robert Fey said officers were stationed near the 26-year-old Henry's hospital room. He had no information on Henry's condition, but said he was alive.

Bengals are back

WHO DEY!

Alright lets look back at and evaluate what all I said at the beginning of the season:

Carson Palmer Healthy--Minor Injuries but healthy

Cedric Benson- Definitely playing like he did at the end of the season, and is one of the best backs in the league this year.

Linebackers: Solid play throughout the season. Tough Loss of Rey this week though. But Brandon Johnson can flat out play.

Ochocinco- Focused

Coles-Decent. Came up big this week vs. KC.

Tank-Really starting to show signs of life late in the season

Tackles- Whitworth and the rest of our line has been great so far, but I definitely was wrong about solidifying our tackles.

Roy Williams- Hurt, but says he wants to be back in Cincy next season.

But I believe the greatest prediction was us contending, and we certainly have proven that!

PLAYOFFS BABY!!! Miami or Bust!

Do it for Vicki, and Slim.

The cardiac cats never make it easy do they! I watched the games the past few weeks and was wondering if they would ever clinch. I am alreadyexcited about the playoffs. I just hope they don't get Baltimore or Pittsburg 1st round. Its tough to beat a decent team three times in a season

 How would you guys feel about this?

We throw the Jets game (assuming that the Patriots win)

Play our starting offense and defense for a quarter or two, and dont run any new plays just keep the plays simple like running up the middle. That way we get a good look at their offense and defense and see the way they run things. We then would see them in the first round, and have them in our pocket to wrap up a win.

I wouldn't assume anything in regards to a Pats win.

And to suggest a team intentionally build the confidence of an opponent that you would play again the next week seems flawed at best.

Intentionally throwing a game is moronic and is insulting and disrespectful to both teams.

True...lok at the Colts situation. They didn't exactly throw the game, but their own fans are not happy. Also, if Cincy pulled the starters or began to let the game get away then the Jets would cease to give away their hand for the following week. It really wouldn't serve any legitimate purpose at all.

Jim Caldwell is a disgrace to the game for what he did.

I definitely see that this would be a horrible idea now, and i hope that its not what they end up doing. I mean its a prime time game for crying out loud, time to introduce the world to the new Bengals.

Plus Cincy needs to prove all the pro bowl voters wrong for no Bengals going to Hawaii.

The Bengals have a city of 5 million fans down in Texas tonight. The team of my childhood can do my current town a solid this evening ... and if they do they meet next Sunday.

Thanks for nothing, Cincy. It would've been more honest to just stay home in their cozy living rooms in Cincinnati and forfeit than to show up and not even give a minimal effort. This is embarassing to watch.

Yes, but you showed nothing to the Jets. The only wrinkle the Bengals showed at all was 71 at the TE spot, and there was never a development off that.

On a side note, there was one player who decided to provide a nice jesture towards his junk while yelling "s my d, b." Coastal would be so proud. :D

The Jets came out after the game to do a lap for the fans. The was a great gesture, but a fan fell off the railing and landed face first on the concrete, knocking him unconscious for about 5 minutes. Pretty crazy to watch.

FlamesBeBallin wrote:Plain and simple...WE SUCKED TONIGHT!!!

If you're worried at all about next week, I don't think you watched the game. It would have been nice to be able to see some kind of success at anything last night, but it was vanilla at best. The offense ran the ball like 6 times. That's the exact opposite of the Bengals game. And on defense, the 3rd string D line was in there all game (and Tom Nelson who sucks) and I'm not even sure if there was 1 blitz all game. It was a team fighting for it's life vs a team who didn't care and didn't want to show anything. I think next week you'll see the Bengals stacking the box forcing Sanchez to throw against our corners. If we can get any kind of offense going, which is a big question since they've sucked for the last 8 weeks or so, they'll win.

I know everyone jumped on my case for saying we should throw the game. But doesn't this strategy look like what we ended up doing?

It certainly appeared all the Cincy receivers were trying to throw the game. I mean, come on ... at least try to catch a ball thrown right into your hands.

Get a new OC, and resign Mike Zimmer first of all!

You forgot about telling the franchise kicker to get the funk out of town.
