Well, our tennis teams didn't bring guns when we played BSouth, but I can guarantee that none of us went outside alone in that town. And we were staying in a better part of town in a good hotel, too.

Do you remember which section of the city you were in? I can't think of many hotels in that area. The majority of them are in the Hoover and Homewood area, which is about 15 minutes southeast.

Yeah, we were about 10-15 minutes away from the Campus...I don't remember what the area was called though. There were a few hotels in the area plus restaraunts and strip malls on both sides of the street.

One more thing...

I've heard/read that with Campbell now fielding a football program, the Camels want to spend 2-3 years playing Pioneer ball, then potentially move to the Big South. I know it's just a rumor, but it's a scenario that I can see come to fruition.

Has Campbell gotten over their hang-up about playing on Sundays...I know that was a major issue when they left the league.

It wouldn't be an issue in football. And that is the only sport where they would likely join the Big South.

But to be honest, all indications are that the Camels have no intention of ever fielding scholarship football.
