If you want to talk ASUN smack or ramble ad nauseum about your favorite pro or major college teams, this is the place to let it rip.

Because Lib is that big of an a-hole. 8)

Actually, I was answering Medic and forgot to include a quote.

Edit: Fixed it.
Good point.

OK, even I'm not sure what that meant but it was probably dirty.

plus you're veering wildly off course.

this thread is all about how RIGHT I am, and how hopelessly self absorbed and delusional those nuts at WU (feel free to insert any other BSOUTH school) are. :D

thanks

No, I'm sure he knew about it.

I just think it's a dumb argument.

I'd have to say, LU is not very well known for it's sports. I was gonna make an analogy to prove some point, but I can't figure out what the point of the argument is. I guess I could prove the point that this is a dumb argument. Which school is most well known on account of it's success in the home furnishing business? I say it's LU!

I hate to even involve myself in dumb arguments but here goes:

Question: Which Big South school is most well-known for athletics?

Answer: None of them.

That can't possibly be the answer because it's a relative question. Maybe if you dropped the "most".

Fine. I'll rephrase. None of them, relatively-speaking. 8)

Ok, even funnier. From Presby's coach's blog, he says that they've never had a strength coach and they have 35 players on campus taking summer classes.

Hmm...

LU: NFL strength coach, biggest weight room in the state, 6000 square feet bigger than Penn St's
PC: First year strength coach, nothing else

LU: 70ish players on campus taking summer classes.
PC: 35 players on campus.

PC's coach had no clue he couldn't coach his kids in the summertime. "I'm not sure I understand the purpose of that rule."

"It was great to talk to Coach Phil Strickland of Gaffney today. We are working on hosting a scrimmage between Greenwood and Gaffney on August 7 at 5pm. It will be great to host two of the state's top programs on our campus. I hope we can make it happen. Hopefully there's not an NCAA rule against it."

This guy still hasn't passed his recruiting test.

I am the only one that voted 1-2 years... Looking at what the Big South teams have lost, I think we can win the BS tourney next year, and maybe the year after..

We might be a 16th seed, but winning the tourney is a bid.

Yeah...I don't know what they see in their basketball team right now that makes them think they can win it all this year. Especially since they don't even have a coach right now.

hey everyone i'm back on again sorry summer work (lifegaurding) has been taking up much of my time. one day i'm gonna be like medic and save peoples lives from things other than drowning! but yea as far as BS sports being well-known i'd have to ask a "bill clinton" esqe question. Depends on what your defenition of "well-known is". all i know is that Anthony smith made the ESPN Sports center top 10 TWICE last year for dunks. that counts for somthing right?
