You guys drooling over a high school kid near my house is pretty funny actually.

I admit this past season was pretty amazing. He provided us our best highlights nearly every Friday all season. That performance against Cy Creek that included the infamous hurdling TD (among his 8 scores in just over a half) is epic even by Texas standards.

I can't see how Texas would let him get out of the state. Word is USC (surprise, surprise) is the finalist for him.

The brother of one of my co-workers is down here in Houston working Sam and several others in the Houston area for USC (you may recognize his name as a former Cowboy-49ers LB and son of a heavyweight champion of the world).

Like many Houstonians, his family comes from elsewhere in the rustbelt so he doesn't have the longtime Texas ties. But once Mack starts the fullcourt press like Fran has already begun, it will be tough for Sam to say no to Austin IMHO.
