I'm glad to be back covering LU since that was the reason for me joining The News & Advance staff back in late 2012. Yeah, certainly tongue in cheek about winning the game. But we do hang strong till 4th quarter in most of these games. Depth takes over then.

Technically, my first assignment was the Liberty-Concord football game in 2012. I could feel the tension in the press box of how close that game was (21-13). My assignments during my first tenure on the beat included the Stony Brook upset of 2012 (at the time, the first victory for the program over a top-five team), the men's basketball team's run to the Big South tournament title in 2013, and baseball winning the Big South and going to the Columbia regional final in 2013.
