I agree with about comment on schools being D1 that should not be. I may be in the minority, but I think if a school doesn't field a football team, they should not be D1 in any sport. It creates an imbalance in conferences when all school not have football, and weakens the conference.
NCAA should have taken measures several years ago, to prevent the so-called Big 5 conferences from separating themselves from rest of NCAA. Every conference should play on same level playing field.

So you're saying the Atlantic-10 and Missouri Valley are weak conferences then?

Yeah, I won't go that far to say you have to have football but something like FCOA for basketball shouldn't cripple your athletic department.
