Oklahoma gets all they can handle but they knock off Notre Dame in this Heisman Bowl first round matchup. Paul Thompson throws 3 TDs and the Sooners get a late field goal to pick up the win 27-24.

(The voting actually ended tied but Oklahoma moves on as the higher seed)
