As is often tradition on the first Monday after the regular season, a number of coaches were served their walking papers and asked to clean out their offices...

Jim Schwartz, Detroit

Greg Schiano, Tampa Bay (Weasel Coach as sometimes called by Gregg Easterbrook)

Mike Shanahan, Washington (from the worst kept secret in the world department)

Leslie Frazier, Minnesota

Rob Chudzinski, Cleveland

You said Black in a negative coontation  Racist :D

I think Detroit is the best job out there You have a ton of firepower on offense you just need to bring in a good QB coach to tweak Staffords decision making. Your defensive front is pretty good as well. What you need are maybe a couple of DB's or LB's which are easy to get in the draft and you'll be fine. Plus, with a high draft choice in a QB rich draft you could probably package your 1st round pick for a great return
Texas would be #2 but they need some more help
The other 3 are about the same. Minnesota has a solid D and a great running game. Solid receivers as well. QB can be picked up in the draft
Washington has a QB issue but a good RB in Morris. Defense is old and slow and if Garçon is your #1 WR....you need lots of help
Tampa Bay......I like their uni's!

I think Eric Taylor should be hired in Washington. He had a 48-16 record in Texas and won two state titles. He also built a program from scratch with a troubled QB. He could handle RGIII.

Clear eyes. Full hearts.

shouldn't have let buddy bring him in the first place, though. RG3 is a high character guy, much like Saracen. Taylor would work wonders with him.

But who do the Skins have as Riggins now that Fletcher retired. He's gonna have to find a glue guy. Maybe another Landry?

Redskins would do well to hire a Jim Mora or an Art Briles. The good thing about letting go of your head coach this year is that there are plenty of coordinators who deserve to prove themselves as a HC. I've heard alot of Redskin fans talk about bringing in David Shaw, who I think would be a great fit. The problem is that David Shaw isn't leaving Stanford unless he's fired or retires, neither of which will be happening anytime soon. John Clayton on ESPN mentioned bringing in Russ Grimm, who I think would be the most intriguing option. Only problem with Grimm is that he's never been anything higher than a position coach.

Munchak has had mixed results in a similar type of move for the Titans.

Shaw has been bandied about as a possible guy in Austin. But I agree that he seems exceedingly content in Palo Alto.

I'm surprised Cutcliffe hasn't been mentioned by anyone. Even though they lost Duke made a huge statement in a great game last nigh

I kind of think Cutcliffe is in a similar position as Shaw. He was offered by Tennessee a few years back and turned the job down. That seemed like a dream job for him. He doesn't really strike me as the type of guy that would want to move.

Jim Mora? I don't think that would be a good idea. Hiring Briles would only give the appearance that they're trying to further empower Griffin. I've heard Russ Grimm, but only as a position coach in conjunction with Ken Whisenhunt.

They're going to be interviewing Seattle's OC Darrell Bevell and Carolina's DC Sean McDermott. And I think everyone is interviewing Seattle's DC.

It also appears that Jim Caldwell is this year's token Rooney Rule candidate for everyone to interview.
