Figured it wouldn't hurt to have a general soccer thread for domestic leagues, big matches, etc. Here's the most blatant match fixing I've ever heard of coming from the Nigerian leagues. I'd love to see video of the second half of each match.

Or how about the referee in Brazil who ejected a player, the player insulted him and wouldn't leave, so the ref takes a knife out of his pocket and stabs the crap out of him. In retaliation, friends of the player then run onto the field and kill the referee by stoning, cut his head off, quarter him, and put his head on a spike. This World Cup should be exciting!

He said this for domestic leagues. We already have a 2014 qualifying thread and a Gold Cup thread. And we will have a separate one for the actual World Cup.

Hence separating out the domestic leagues that aren't part of the World Cup. Just like there's a thread for the Gold Cup.
