With Hernandez gone and Gronk likely to be out for at least half the season (only if he's strapped to a chair and forced to recover for once), what do the Patriots do? Over the past two seasons Brady has relied heavily on his slot receiver (Welker) and the two TE's. He lost all three. Granted he does have Amendola, but still - these are huge losses for the Patriots offense to absorb.

The Pats TE position isn't as bad as some think, but it's definitely a step down. They snagged an injured Jake Ballard from the Giants last year and stashed him on IR. If he's healthy this year they've got a legit starter. They also grabbed Amendola for the slot position so they'll be fine there.
