Crowdsourcing is cost effective and more in line with how CNN views sports these days. But seriously, it has been many years since CNN was last considered a source for sports content in and of itself. SI was stand just fine on its own without the CNN partnership. In fact, it will probably give them the freedom to be more competitive vs. ESPN.

CNN has fallen a long way since Nick Charles and Fred Hickman. It proves competition is a good thing because ESPN was better than too!

Uh, no. As someone who spent a quarter century as a broadcast journalist I can say without question that all three major networks each have their own strong biases. But it is not necessarily the ones you might expect. The #1 bias of every one of the three major cable nets is economics.

Without a doubt. If Fox thought they could make more money being a liberal network, you better believe they'd jump on it. The same could be said about all three major news networks. When Fox News started, they knew they would attract a ton of eyeballs with a certain slant in their broadcasts. Murdoch isn't stupid. He knew edgier material would work on broadcast tv when the Fox network started and it clearly worked. By the way, I was just stirring the pot with my comment.

lol.

Reminds me of my early days writing for Blogcritics. They had a deal with a bunch of major papers to provide content (especially book and music reviews) for their online editions, and I had several picked for greater distribution. I could boast I was published in the online edition of whichever paper carried it. Of course, not many people actually read those filler articles, but it was a bit of an ego boost back in the day.

Pre-FoxNews, 100% of the mainstream media was liberal.
At least 47% of Americans are conservative.
Today, 10 liberal mainstream outlets, one conservative, do I see dollar signs .... it was a no brainier

The Communist New Network! Its been going under for the past 10 years and will continue since MSNBC became better at being more "Leftist" then CNN. I wouldn't be surprised if the Jaziers group doesnt scoop CNN up next if Current/Algore TV purchase pays off in the next few years.
