It'd be impossible to get them in for next year (our schedule is finalized). Changes wouldn't take place until 08 or 09 and even so, it wouldn't matter for two years after that.

Longwood probably can join the A-Sun whever they want. But they keep dreaming of our league. At some point they probably will be let into the Big South. But right now that's not ging to happen without them adding football. We already have enough Longwoods in the conference (i.e. UNCA, HPU).

And in the meantime, teams will continue to bolt and start costing us bids in other sports. The league cannot continue to attempt to be a viable football league at the expense of the other sports.

There is no question that something drastic needs to happen. Perhaps this proposed alliance with the New Yorkers is the first step.
