Don't want to start a new thread just for this but 5 players from Kentucky are declaring for the draft. Wall, Cousins, Bledsoe, Orton and Patterson are all gone. I guess they do have room for Lamb, Selby, and Knight.

Worst kept secret in all of America. All five of them had decided to declare for the draft a long time ago, they just didn't make it official until yesterday or whenever it was formally announced. But, so far the only one to sign with an agent has been Cousins.

Surprisingly all of them are still completing out their coursework for the year so the year so they can be on pace to graduate so it won't ruin Kentucky's APR - if you leave early but are on pace to graduate when you leave then it doesn't hurt the APR.

I'll believe that when it's official. I believe Wall, Cousins and Bledsoe were all courtside at the McDAA game. Not something most full time students could do.

The McDAA game was in Columbus, OH. That's only three hours from Lexington. I would assume nearly all of their classes are in the morning and early afternoon since late afternoon and night classes would have interfered with practices and games. Even if they would have had mid afternoon classes, they still could have gotten there in time since the game didn't start until 8 p.m. A three hour trip would have been very easy to make for any UK student with a similar class schedule.

alright, if you want to keep telling yourself, that those 4 freshman, who will shortly be multimillionares, are continuing their classes for no other reason as a personal favor to Calamari, the guy who's game plan played them out of a championship, you go ahead and believe that. That includes Cousins, who seems about as intelligent as a bag of hammers.

Evidence provided by Daniel Orton's official facebook and twitter accounts and kentucky sports radio, a kentucky media source that receives official media credentials from the Kentucky sports information office.

Straight from Daniel Orton's Twitter http://twitter.com/Danielorton33 (which he has confirmed as his official twitter account):
People I KNOW that if I dropped outta school it would cost UK a scholarship. I'm not self centered or a me person at all. I'm a team player.
...
That's why I didn't. Your scholarship won't be taken away for all you fans out there that need it so badly!!

Daniel Orton’s Facebook status was just changed to say the is going to California in the morning. This fits with his father’s earlier comment that he would be dropping out of school to go train for the Draft [later refuted by Orton twice]. If the Facebook status change is true (and we have no reason to think it isnt), it would likely mean that Orton has dropped his classes in order to train for the Draft. If that happened, he would be the only Freshman not to finish the semester.
I have said all along that I root for Orton and hope he is picked in the Draft and fulfills his dream. But not finishing the classes could have a negative effect on the program through its APR rating, something John Wall noted yesterday in an interview stating he would finish the semester. I wish Orton had done the same.
“I’m finishing out the semester,” he said. “No matter if I leave or stay, I’m going to finish it out. I don’t want to make it harder for me to come back and get my degree. I promised my dad before he died that I was going to go to college and get a degree. So if I leave I’m going to make sure to come back and get it.”

Because I agree with you that none of them is much smarter than any tool in the bag, none of them are likely to realize that Calipari's game plans lost them games. Which is why they're willing to go to class as a personal favor to the man. By this reasoning, they are actually attending class as an indirect result of their ignorance!
