With Ortiz, he admits to taking a legal supplement that wasn't banned by baseball. If true, he really shouldn't be crucified for it. Although I thought that was McGwire's excuse...
For me, the 'straw' was really A-Rod, simply because my excuse during the 'Barry Bonds' saga was 'well, let him break Aaron's record, 'cuz A-Rod is going to break it anyways and we won't have the need for the asterix.' After that, it was a 'well, what can you believe. It's the nature of the game.'
