Yeah, Silva looked like MJ playing bball against me. Unreal how bad he made Forrest look. Forrest is the toughest guy in the UFC...not the best but the toughest and he didnt even have a chance. Silva was ducking punches like Ali did back in the day.

Hands down the most impressive performance I've ever seen in the UFC. He made a great great fighter and former Champion look like a complete scrub....heck he made him look so bad he ran out of the ring before they even raised Silva's hand

It was a terrible fight for UFC, though.

Who do they put up against Silva next? He's got to defend the belt before any superfight possibilities with George St. Pierre. Who seriously stands a chance at 170 against Silva? Who would they even put him up against at 205?

...and what to do with Griffin? He was thought of to be one of the top fighters in the UFC, who has fought just about everyone there is to fight at his weight and he was thoroughly embarrassed.

Silva usually fights at 185....i read today where he refuses to fight Machida ( sp ?) who is the champ at 205 which Silva has just bulked up too. They are both Brazilians and train together + are good friends i read. So next would possibly be Rampage jackson, Rashad Evans, or even Tito Ortiz who just resigned.

That's what I meant. Who's going to give him a fight at 185? He really has no other option to go up to 205 to get any kind of challenge.

If Rampage keeps his "comeback" up and beats Evans, than I can see the argument that Rampage would be a good match against Silva--but at the same time, I could see where Rampage would want a shot at Machida.

The winner of Maia and Marquardt would be next in line for a title shot and you have to throw Dan Henderson in there somewhere for a rematch with Silva.

There are very few "headline" type fights with Silva right now.

the fact that silva was backing away with that punch was just that more impressive.

i could see rampage giving him a run, but honestly silva needs to move up to get any real competition.

though if reports are correct silva will only be fighting 3 more fights before he 'retires' so who knows what that means for where he will fight

...and one of those fights will certainly be Wanderlai Silva, IMO. There is some bad blood there and I think Anderson wants to fight him before he wraps it up.

I don't think I've seen Anderson even get hit.

i think Silva v. Silva will be a great fight. Wanderlei is a great pure fighter and gets a lot of hits in, and Anderson seems to avoid hits like the plague.

so any idea what the other 2 fights would be?

also Anderson has agreed to fight Roy Jones in a traditional boxing match once he retires from MMA

You favorite site ( www.wikipedia.com) has GSP listed at 170....unless he agrees to 185 and Silva cuts back to 185 that fight never happens. I'd bet it never happens. Silva is a freak and to dominate 20 pounds heavier, not everyone can do that or is even willing to try for the sake of a beat down from him.

GSP has talked about fighting Silva before...the rumor is if Silva moves up to 205, GSP wants to go up to 175.

Silva isn't going to get away with not defending his title before he takes another "superfight" -- I still think Henderson is the best match the UFC can put together.
