Apparently, you don't see it. Philadelphia sports fans spent a combined 100 seasons
of heartache, bad teams, bad players, bad management, choking, and everything else
mixed in to get to this point.

So we're supposed to cheer for the worst commissioner baseball has ever seen, and break
into spontaneous applause for the other team? Please. Heck, Maddon is a Philly-area guy,
and we're not cheering for him, because he's on the wrong side of the ball.

Everyone knows Tampa Bay had a great year. Now, get out of the way and give us our trophy.
Talk about whining. Point proved, thanks.

"Whining" would be blaming our losses on someone outside of Philadelphia, i.e.:
umpiring, weather, crowds, etc. I didn't do that. Philly only had itself to blame for
all the losses all these years. That's what makes this win sweeter, and the fact that you
have no real comeback proves me right.

See you in April.

All I'll say is congrats to the Phillies...I have some friends who are skipping school to drive up there for the parade

Do you think Wheels is a homer?

Looks like he was too busy fighting an invisible man to mess this one up.

Edit: I can't stop laughing after watching the clip about 10 times.

I think Wheels is a huge homer, but considering he worked for the Phils in a non-broadcast manner,
it's understandable. At the very least, I respect the man for keeping his mouth shut last night, and kung-fu
fighting no on in particular. (I agree, it's a hilarious clip).

Also listening to the game on the radio, and muting Buck and McCarver for the entire series (which was the right
thing to do), it was great hearing both Kalas and Wheeler getting a bit choked up after the final pitch. Since this
was the first WS winner Kalas has called (local broadcasts weren't allowed in 1980), I was so happy that Harry the K
finally got a chance to do one live.

And again, rants aside, props to TB. Worst to the World Series, like we did in 93, is huge. I hope it turns into some
positive momentum for both the team and it's fans.
