It was a decent game. Both teams are very good when at full strength. Nelson getting in foul trouble didn't help Duke, and Ellington not being able to make a shot all night didn't help Carolina. It was a typical Duke/Carolina game. We'll see how it turns out in Durham.

Lawson out and Ellington shoots 3-14. We can't win that way. Even if Tyler puts up 28 with 17 boards, that's not gonna be enough. Gotta hand it to Duke. They took us to school tonight.

it's impossible to say lawson is worth a certain amount of points, so i won't even try to do that...

but i would REALLY like to see that game again with lawson and zoubek playing. it was already a good game, but i think with two completely healthy teams it would have been even better. luckily, tbgbg and i will be sweating our testicles off in cameron for the next meeting. already can't wait.

I think it's because everyone realizes that neither team was at 100%. Without Lawson, we had a hard time running our offense & putting pressure defense on Paulus & Smith. Without Zoubek, they had a hard time snagging rebounds. I agree with Bryson....I would love to have seen this game with both teams at full strength.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking anything away from their win. It goes down as a W for them & there is nothing anybody can do about that now. Before the game, if you would have told me without Lawson, Tyler missing a billion free throws, Wayne & Danny going a combined 4-24, & we still only lose by 11 pts....I would have said you're nuts. I'm surprised we didn't lose by 25 with those odds.

if duke could hit a freakin free throw they would've won by 25. in the past duke has been a historically good free throw shooting team, but this year they can't hit the broad side of a barn. last night paulus was even off, and normally he drops them.

Hans had a heck of a game!!! to bad it didn't turn into a W.. We need some help to win the league now with 2 losses... I just want to be healthy come tourney time!!! I would like to enjoy Charlotte, then Raliegh then back to Charlotte come March!!!! Looking forward to round 2
