as for them running up the score...I am convinced that they would not be doing the things like going for it on 4th and 1 and other such things if it weren't for the whole spying scandal at the beginning of the season...they are out to prove they are great...and thats why they are doing it....these are pros making millions, i have no sympathy for them

As for the Patriots being the best NFL team in NFL history, that's just a wee bit farfetched. There's '72 Dolphins, '85 Bears, '70s Steelers, '60s Packers (Deeper NFL history buffs may remember - the Pack won NFL championships in 1961, 1962, and 1965 before defeating Kansas City in the first ever Super Bowl), late '80s 49ers, and '92 Cowboys. I really can't put out one true "best team," but those teams come to mind in my mind.

That might be your opinion but i don't think its general opinion of all. When you talk about the above group ive never heard that 91 skins mentioned in the same breath as those others by anyone...

As far as dominating a season, I don't know how you could argue with that. They were 11-0, absolutely destroying teams, lost to the Cowboys (big shocker), and then their second-stringers lost the last game of the year to Philly. Then they smashed everyone in the playoffs on their way to the superbowl. Not really an opinion, just what happened. It's not talked about because it was just one season, not a "dynasty" or multiple seasons like those other teams. But with free agency today, when you're talking about a dominant team, you kind of have to take it season by season.

This one is better.

They score more, their defense is as good as any (save maybe the 85 Bears/Recent Ravens), and they just dominate their opponents.

In a time dominated by Parity and FREE AGENCY (I would have liked to have seen the Pack or Steel Curtain survive that) they have been good despite losing tons of players and having to improvise.

Tom Brady is going to have the best season ever for a QB.
Same with Randy Moss as a WR.
They will have 3 10TD receivers
They will have scored SIX

They are on pace to only allow 240 points (there are a handful of teams who have already allowed that this year)

Edit: just looked at some stats and in 99 the Rams were ranked 1st in passing and 5th in rushing. Even though it was less total y/g it still seems more complete.
