They probably don't want Jeff Taylor Jr. hitting two homeruns and driving in 6 runs against them! :D lol

I'm currently planning on attending this game, so I can provide score/time updates if anyone wants it, that is if the internet works out on the field, which can be spotty.

alrighty. can't guarantee i'll be able to do anything from out there, like I said the internet connection out there is spotty (because the IT department didn't think internet was needed on the field and didn't have it installed when the field was renovated just two school years ago...). also, if either team starts putting in a bunch of scrubs and pulling the top players then I'll probably leave at that point.

LC defender #17 scores from 30 yards out

LC misses point blank shot. LU can't string together a controlled offensive possession to save their life right now.

For some reason LC has barely played it's top returnees and our top goalie is dressed but not playing.

you guys are going to like #11, she's a good fresman

Thanks. As far as not playing the top returnees for LC...its all about evaluation. The coach knows what the cream of the crop is capable of...but for the others...this is a great evaluation opportunity.

LU #11 is REALLY quick and fast, her in the open field is dangerous. Haven't seen her try to create goals for others though. Listed at middie but never sees the defensive end, might as well list her as forward because she stays back near the goalie the whole time.

Final LU 2-1.

not bad considering LC barely played their top players (top goalie only played 15 mins, top defender maybe 10, top goal scorer maybe 10), elected to play mostly freshman and sophomores who didnt play much last year (there were a ton of people on the field I have never seen in my life) and didn't start practice until yesterday while LU played most of it's top players for most of the game, like #6 and #11, for example - seemed to me that most of the top returnees played a lot of minutes.

you're welcome.

i noticed the lu website said that they got a top 150 goalie. i think she was the one that started and allowed the ball to go right through her hands when the LC defender scored from 30 yards out. she made some saves, but they were relatively easy ones, so I didn't really get to see her do much to prove the ranking.

good players sometimes make mistakes. plus they are rankings done by people who see a player a few times and rely on other to complie their list. thanks for the analysis though.

there were three 30 minute periods? I was there the whole time, the game started around 6:45 [unless it started earlier, but I thought I got there right at the beginning], had a 10-minute half, and ended around 8:05 with the men's soccer team taking the field for practice less tha 5 minutes after it ended. That would make the total real time of the game 80 minutes, how can you fit three 30 minute periods in that?.

I also only remember two LU goals as my commentary shows and I'm pretty sure I didn't miss one since I never left until the game was over. Only way I would ahve missed one is if, like I stated above, the game started even earlier.
