OK, guys, it's time to start making predictions for the fall. We are just a little over 2 months away from the start of the preseason tournaments. Let's start with the VCU Invitational 8/29-30.

I think we will come out of the gate strong this year. What do you guys think?

NC State is by no means a vball powerhouse in the ACC, and we beat them when Jenn Belk (now Vaden) and Becky Rudnick were seniors. I don't know much about Central Michigan, but I do Maryland beat us last year. Anyway, I see us going 3-0 at this tourney:

NC State: 3-0 W
Central Michigan: 3-0 W
U. Maryland: 3-1 W

Vadim, are you planning on going to the VCU tourney?

A-Train,

The only tourney we won't be at this year is the ND tourney . We will be in Italy with my brothers and sister and their spouses. We'll miss the matches at Coastal and Charleston because of the trip also.

I like the positive vibe of the predictions so far, and will keep it going with the following 3-0 sweep.

However, I would be happy if they came out of the tournament with two wins. It will be the first tournament of the year, and I'm sure there will be some things to work out between old and new players.

Vadim, glad to hear you'll be making it to the VCU Tourney. I may have to make a road trip to Richmond.

It's never too early to talk about Flames Volleyball! I say we come out 3-0 on this one but the team will be working out the kinks with the new players. I see it:
