I was up this morning at 5:30 with the little guy and was able to see the last half of the London Marathon live. Ryan was in the lead pack as they went through the half way point under world record pace. That took a toll on the whole field, but Ryan was able to hold it together to finish 5th in 2:06:17. (That's a 4:49 mile pace for 26.2 miles.) It was the fastest marathon by an American-born athlete. Ryan has definetly arrived on the world running scene and his testimony will be a powerful tool as Bejing approaches.
