The VCU tourney was an interesting one. While our ladies won lots of games, I don't think they played as well overall as they did in the earlier tournaments. Don't get me wrong, they played well, but I don't think I saw as much top notch play as in the other venues. We were not consistent in the other venues, but we had times where we were simply outstanding. I didn't feel like we had as many outstanding moments at VCU. We won 3 of 4 matches. I didn't know they were 2 out of 3 until the last match of the day, because we always won 2 games in the others. The previous tourney at VT just had two games per team played regardless of outcome. We won 7 of 9 games played, and that was with Nicki playing libero the whole time. We have a great team with lots of upside potential, and it will be fun watching win the Big South again next year.
